Ashven
Being a no-combat thief, some of my most exciting and hair-raising moments are those in which I'm about to get caught and hell tempts to break loose. I was having a right old time in Solitude, and I broke into a three-story house, upper class type sort of, and was pillaging to my heart's content since the owner wasn't home (I had just passed him on the street.) Thinking I had at least a few real life minutes before I had to bail, I was taking my time, walking around, nabbing anything and everything that was particularly shiny, I decided I had enough and took the elevator (read: leapt over the railing like a lunatic) and pressed crouch mid-air. As I hit the deck, I am face-to-back with the houses' owner. Almost immediately panicking, and my sneak eye twitching, I held sprint and rolled to a dark corner, just in time for him to turn around to look at where I was, with him saying "Guess it was nothing." I haven't got the heart to tell my heart to get off my keyboard tray and back into my chest. If this puts it into perspective - I was quite poor monetarily and I had a 500-something gold bounty on my head in Solitude. Couldn't afford to get caught. Hahaha...that was hilarious to read about! xD Thanks for sharing. I think even though there is the "quickload" button, I do love to just not rely on it too much, and it does't help me feel great if I have already invested even 10 minutes in any activity, especially if I was taking my time and feeling immersed and all...it does upset me if something goes wrong and I find myself tempted to hit the quickload button. So yeah, I can relate to that feeling "Hoooly ****! No, no, no, no, please, please..."
Ashven
No, no, I'm more than willing to live with my muckups and run for the hills. If there was an athletics skill, I'd have it mastered already. I still can't go back to Markarth, for reasons I'm not too fond of elaborating on. XD I've a thousand close calls, and a hundred great stories. My private checklist goes as such: [_] Do not kill.[_] Do not get caught.[_] Do not carry a weapon.[_] Do not fight back if attacked - I am the intruder. If I can make it out a job with all four checked, I consider my job a success. Of course, profit has to be taken into account, because that's what thieves do. ;) If only I had some little hideout tucked away in a corner of Skyrim that was hard to get to - then I'd have the perfect thief setup. RokHere
As a Khajit Thief with a bow, I sneak and hide behind a tree, stalking a chicken in Riverwood. I aim at the chicken, take a deep breath, and shoot my arrow, hitting the chicken and sending it sliding on the ground for a couple of yards. Immediately, I hear some disturbance in town, and there's a bounty on my head. I take a peak outside my hiding spot, and see the blacksmith and his wife coming at me with weapons drawn. Just as the wife gets ready to stab me with her dagger, she goes like, "You'll make a fine rug, cat!" Edited January 17, 2012 by RokHere
GMatthews
...All is quiet and then the next second, the dragon drops down behind me. I. s***. My. Pants. I can imagine that great line... "it's behind me isn't it?" That was a great visual!!! I get kind of mad when a dragon won't come down to fight. I can never quite get his attention with arrows. dfacto
I wait an hour until 8:00 for Adriana to show up in Whiterun, and she's not there. Moments later she drops straight out of the sky next to the forge and looks at me like everything's normal.

Dude, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Dragons never come to me when I chase them, so I usually just si there for a minute so they will try to surprise me. TheCustodian
COol moments? So far had to be killing the emperor. All that hard work and effort and as icing on the cake my character decapitated the bugger :P Was a great feeling of revenge after joining the stormcloak rebellion also. Shame i couldn't keep the head. Would make for a great trophy in my room in the Dark Brotherhood hideout. Had a scary run in yesterday with another char of mine, i modded the dragon fighting music with a heavy metal version of the Elderscroll theme and i was just walking out of whiterun minding my own business. It was a calm night, stars out nothing seemed wrong until out of nowhere i hear the shriek of a dragon torching me and the music starts up I swear i jumped 3 feet into the air before i recovered and unpaused the game. Thankfully the dragon got interested in a bunch of bandits a moment later. (I was only level 11 and my combat skills were rather pathetic) EDIT: Oh yeah, and discovering the console command cheat for sex changing npcs... White run is so screwed up... And Sabjorns first words when i saw him :D http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x174/OoDark_ShadowoO/2012-01-15_00001.jpg Edited January 17, 2012 by TheCustodian
