Where is my preset

Why wont all of my body presets show up in the bodyslide preset drop down menu? I have several that do show up properly. I downloaded the "Unique player" mod and it will not show up in the preset menu. I have CBBE and Unique player installed and both are working. I want to change the shape of the player body. What am I doing wrong?

There were some universal sliders that sounded similar to that, but I don't really understand what they were talking about. There were also some mods dealing with more variance in body shape, across actors. Though I'm not sure this really refers to Unique Player & Body. I'm not certain, but I believe the idea here is to provide a way to have unique body tattoos. Now you could run a unique shape too, but this would require making a new version of the clothing/armor specific to the UPC&B. But it would still center around traditional CBBE/Bodyslide, like heck, say CBBE vanilla, then the CBBE enhancer (the newer clothing/armor build) plus the custom outfits.

That's all set up with sliders and groups, I think Outfit Studio does that, among other things. But the point here is to first provide the actors in the game with clothing/armor in a custom or better way & with batch build, and later single clothing/armor editing/building based on testing/preference. CBBE Boobfixed was dealing with cloth & female breasts to bring CBBE up to the quality level of Vanilla Assets. Josie Body was dealing with custom sliders for custom clothing on the other side, (it would be similar with Atomic Beauty or other custom bodies) But the idea here is to make it with parts that were all designed to work together. You know, specifically.

I pretty much use Vanilla as a set. Then I sometimes use Enhanced Vanilla Bodies in a similar build. Then Busty was a mod designed around Enhancing the Enhanced Vanilla Body in a version with larger female breasts that played off the quality level of vanilla clothing/armor. I tested Atomic Beauty last year, but there are more custom additions to that body now. Josie was similar, but it tied directly to custom clothing/armor by the original author. Also Josie Body was build for Victorian/Contemporary/Conservative female breast cleavage & hips. So more End User editable, more options. Though I think you would find similar functionality with various other popular custom bodies.

So let's just say I want CBBE body vanilla type for the other actors. That would start out being built with CBBE enhancer, all the vanilla clothing armor. So install CBBE, Bodyslide, and CBBE Enhancer (the official CBBE bodyslide versions of vanilla/DLC) Then run bodyslide, chose groups, checkmark all of it pretty much (it will prompt later) Then batch build (Ignore Physics & Ignore Morphs To Start Out) Those will be done, then install CBBE Boobfixed, run bodyslide again, this time choose groups, but un-checkmark everything except for Boobfixed, then batch build that to fix the major bubble tits. Then anything for custom clothing/armor installed and run separately. But it would be a good idea to create a backup copy of this foundation generic build so far (cause it will get ruined later) So just grab the loose files an copy it to flash drive or storage as a BAK.

I would pick the Josie body for a unique player in this case (but that would change as I played) It would mean installing the Josie body and all mods tied to it. Though it would begin by adjusting the sliders slightly on either the full Josie or the "less is more" Josie so that it fits the particulars of what was viewed as preference (though preference for the player character or other actors as separate entities) Once that slider edit/adjustment was done, I would save it as one of the existing Josie slider presets (same for other bodies) this way it would already tie into the various other batch build functionalities or clothing/armors later (just remember which one) As an example right now in Body Slide top left it's set for " Outfit/Body - Commonwealth Shorts" & "Josie Sporty Underwear" below that.

This is because after all the batch builds an stuff, the Commonwealth Shorts CBBE Bodyslide conversion version had clipping cloth, so it was edited as the game was played. However, "Josie Sporty Underwear" was the slider set that I changed to my preference at the beginning then it was saved, or written over the existing one, which ties into other mods, but sometimes a newly created slider set wouldn't work, also in this case, the whole point was to use a edited Josie Sporty Underwear so most of the custom content is designed around that. Same thing for little girl, big guy, skinny fella, large lady, ect. Obviously we would all do it differently, but would all develop a quick easy way to do this type of set up work from having used the mods and tools for a fair amount of time to develop the process.

Don't forget we already have the other actors bodies/clothing/armor built & backed up somewhere else in storage. So this time we make another build but have it based off our custom slider edited version of a custom body set. In this case Full Josie with 50% smaller butt/hips area & larger fake looking breast implants, but with more muscle added to the back & arms (because it's a level 192 character from launch, it's old, she's carried weight, and fought enough to have changed, plus she missed having mommy boobs, and even had some cybernetic implants) She got fatter in the stomach too, fatter in the thighs/calfs. So we build CBBE with Josie + custom saved sliders for "Sporty Underwear" it gets batch built the same was as the first vanilla based BAK we created, then tested inside the game, and later edits to fix or adjust this or that.

Then we copy all that to make the Unique Player Backup and store that, drag an drop the old vanilla CBBE batch build. To start with we would need Vault 111 Suit Old/New, pick one I guess. Go into storage for the Josie BAK, and pull out those assets. When in doubt you would load it up with FO4edit to locate which folders, but I guess you could just drop the backup into the Unique Player folder, cause it's theoretical. Now you would need to FO4edit and look at the Vault 111 suit Form ID, copy as new entry on that, which makes a new item using the same already filled out form, put that into a new .esp at the end, call it Unique Clothing (and you probably all need a few .esp at the end to change settings in this messy stuff for clothing/armor/weapons/chems/ect anyway. So I would plan on 254 total mods being 234 mods, cause everybody will need stuff at the end.

You need a way to either place reference ID's into the game world, craft them there, or just "~player.additem 0000800 1" them in one at a time as the Form ID's are copied as new entries and thus creating the unique version of clothing/armor. One shaped Vanilla CBBE/Boobfixed & the other Josie CBBE/Boobfixed added to the player. Though I'm pretty sure that Unique Player & Unique Player Body is really only worth it for specific use as a way to apply unique body tattoos. This whole thing is a lot of work, but over a long enough timeline it's not all that difficult and you would be doing this anyway. Just if it was desired. On the other hand though. You can just build a Josie set of clothing/armor for the player character & the actors, which all match, then use Facegen morph data for body to get the game to change the clothing/armors from one actor to the next, because these custom bodies typically only work specifically for the vanilla default body setting inside the game. You know, or just ignore all that, and roll a player character exactly like everyone else, which now that you mention it, could get on my nerves now. But I mean, I would need to know first if the rest of this game was stable enough to work on fixing that issue, as in if I was going to be keeping it for a long enough time.
