paul92
Hello guys, I'm starting a new extreme mode game with my character that roleplay as an explorer wussy that evolves into a badass. I'll play at survival, but i want to fear everything at first, and then destroy at the end of the journey. I'm trying to set up mods to remove the only hassle i have with Fallout 4: Scaling Enemy Level.Scaling enemies will hinder me in 2 ways: 1) At the beginning, i'll have enemies that will be of similar level to me. Also, by exploring a lot, i'll mess up a lot of encounter zones, by triggering the minimum level spawn of enemies for that area.. FOREVER.2) At the end, i'll have enemies that will scale with me endlessly. Solving number 2 is easy, i'm taking care of those endgame tiered enemies that scale infinitely with the player level. To do so i'm using this:http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15592/? The problem lies on number 1. What annoys me to no end, is the fact that the encounter zones enemies level triggers only once. The optimal way to solve this, would be a mod to forcefully re-trigger the level calculation. This can be done everytime i enter the cell, or every X ingame hours/days, or even a manual retrigger using a hotkeys... I'd be totally fine with that. The problem is that looking around on the net this looks like impossible to do. (If you know how to do it, then i'd be forever grateful) So i've to retreat to a Plan B:Removing the minimum level encounter zones, making it the same number of the high level. This way i won't make the game easy in the future since, even if i explore in the beginning, enemies' level will be pretty much "static" and blocked to the highest level possible for that encounter zone. Having this would make the first hours of my journey harder, (which is good). This makes me sure that i'm not ruining my game by spawning wussy enemies on the zones i explore in the beginning. I don't want to messup too much the vanilla enemy levels (except for those nonsense endless scaling ones), so a lot of the mods out there (which change both the ranges) are not okay for me. Thanks to anyone who can help me to set up this last mod so i can try my hardcore run! :D Kind Regards,Gianmarco P.S: I'm still kinda baffled that this doesn't exist yet... What do people that are against scaling enemies do? Are they fine with the "first time encounter trigger" bullc**p?
paul92
So... i tried to see how the encounter zones level limit are structured. It looks like most high level encounterzones caps at LV 99. So using Plan B would end up making most of the enemies level 99... This is so bad... I suppose my only chance then is to really hope someone manage to solve it by recalculating the first time entering encounter zone? Will someone save the day? I'm really hoping so... (I suppose there isn't even a console command right? Cause i would be fine even doing it manually once in a while...)
Herasson
How about that as a starter?http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4078/?
paul92
First of all thanks for replying. Yeah i saw this one too when initially searching, but it still leaves up to 15 levels of dynamic range. It also doesn't include all the dlcs. :( Someone even tried to make a similar version that includes the dlcs, but it increased the range by a lot, making it (for what i'm looking for) far worse than the previous one. Herasson
Problem comes with the balancing as you need to visit certain areas with a possible lower level which is then not doable. So there is the necessity for dynamic range. The best solution would be no permanent level range, but I do not know if this can be undone with mods.

Sorry, i don't understand what you mean here? Do you mean that it is too hard to visit places with static enemies that are too much stronger then you?If yes, that wouldn't be a problem for me. It would be a challenge, and i'd like that a lot! The best solution would be no permanent level range, but I do not know if this can be undone with mods. If by this you mean that you can reset the encounter zone level (which is recorded the first time you enter it), then yes. This would solve any problem. This would be the best way...Even if it is just a mod to manually retrigger the script that sets the level in encounter zones the first time you enter it. Herasson
Yep, this was exactly what I meant.Maybe you can take this mod and change it to your own likings?Should not be to hard as this changes specific parts already; the parts you want. Maybe someone took already a look on the static enemy level after first visit, he/she could give you a hint on that.

Yeah i could do that too. But i didn't find anyone that did something similar. Do you have someone specific in mind that i can look into?
Herasson
No, sorry, would have told you already as I share information willingly. :-)
