I'm building a mage robe mod and could use advice/mentoring/help with the graphics aspect

I posted in the Creation Kit and Modders section, but thinking maybe it wouldn't be bad to post it here too for a better chance at higher visibility.

I want to make some mage robes that I like, and have the framework for the concept built, but am lacking the skills/knowledge for the visual parts.

I definitely appreciate that I'm asking about the time consuming difficult part of this type of thing, so I'd be very grateful for any help/advice/mentoring etc.

3D modeling seems real tough to a beginner.. assuming you're one. Start off small. A mage robe is definitely on the advance side. Modeling the shoes might be much easier(less complex skills needed). Above all you must get accustomed to working in a 3D space, meaning learn the controls first. It'll be slow too, but as time goes on, you learn neat tricks to speed up the modeling process.

Also, not every modeler is also a texturer. Sometimes they have someone skilled in that to the prettying up for them.
