Horrible Experience on Chat

All chat is logged. When I came in I could see what you had been saying. Circumventing the filter is not allowed, and it's always best to avoid having to rely on the filter. So your language played into my decision.

Plus you were flooding the chat room with many posts, post after post after post without allowing anyone else to get a word in edgewise. Flooding is anything more than three posts in a row. And those flood posts were well before you had even begun attempting to answer someone's question regarding an issue. They were simply spam.

Kick = Warning. Ban = Gone.

You got a kick.

Thanks for responding, myrmaad. I disagree that I was spamming or flooding, but there's no point in arguing now. Nobody was chatting, so I was trying to get a conversation going. I wasn't trying to circumvent a filter, either; I had no idea there even was one in the chat room. I consciously wrote the words that way because I thought I shouldn't post profanity.

It seems strange that a chat room actively dissuades people from chatting. Anyway, never mind all that. It's done.

It appears the chat rules lead to a lot of misunderstanding. I'd suggest that they're revised so that they're more clear. For instance, the three-in-a-row rule probably should be mentioned up front.

I would have contacted you personally, but I couldn't find any indication of who was moderating the chat room at the time. Perhaps this needs to be reconsidered, too.

Did you try to log back in to the chat room?

The rules of the chat are posted on the "door"

This image highlights the no piracy rule but directly below that the spam/flooding issue is addressed.

I did read the rules... I suppose I thought one would look at the context of the communication instead of applying hard rules to something like a chat room. It doesn't seem unreasonable to me to post three or four lines in order to get a conversation going. That doesn't sound like spam or flooding to me. But if it's considered so here, then I apologise. Maybe the room's just not my kind of room. Thanks again for taking the time to explain.
