saergaras
Hello! I have never made a mod for Fallout 4. I'd like to start with something i have always wanted to use myself. For a first try, i will use some weapons from another modder (i will keep that version for myself of course), and later, i'd like to learn to create my own custom weapons, so i could release the mod in the nexus. So, i'd like to: 1) Replace some of the vanilla weapons (most of them actually) by some of the amazing weapons created by DOOMBASED: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16387/? -> 10mm pistol will become DOOMBASED M1911A1 -> Assaut Riffle will become Modular Kalash etc etc. 2) Integrate some of the new weapons as standalone, added via leveled list with a script (-> So for instance i'd like to add the DOOMBASED Desert Eagle as a standalone weapon, not replacing anything) 3) I'm using Horizon, so i'd like to make a separate patch that balance all those weapons for an Horizon Gameplay (that part is not so hard and i think i already know how to do it using FO4edit). --->Short version, i'd like to have in my game all DOOMBASED weapons, some replacing vanilla weapons, some just standalone, and some of the vanilla weapons i'd like to keep. I'd like some advices. Is it gonna be hard for a beginner? Do you have any idea how i should proceed? Thank you!

xBloodTigerx
if you're new, use the creation kit, it's basically fo4edit but laid out in a way you can just copy and edit the numbers. as for meshes and textures i personally make then in blender. when you get the hang of it in a 3d modeling program, your next would be nifskope and to understand how that works(take it easy). for the scripts, check out the default scripts in the scripts folder and how you can add on an item itself. and a ton of videos on youtube and research (tackle each one at a time) ---you won't need this for a while but i'll leave this herehttp://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=Category:Papyrus Edited February 1, 2017 by xBloodTigerx
