jjack339
I played the PS3 version a good, bit. then it began to become unplayable due to frame rate issues (like 2-5fps), traded it in, and now I want to install mods where do I start. I got the map w/ roads, female faces, and a couple of others already downloaded.
somerandomsheepthathops
Extract the Files (Esp file, Meshes, Textures, etc.) into your data folder. Location should be something like this: c:/programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim/data After that launch the game, menu should pop up, go to Data files or whatever, Activate the esp files and that should be it. Happy Modding! (But of course some mods will not have Esp files but have Texture folders or other folders. Extract them to the Data folder as well) Edited January 16, 2012 by somerandomsheepthathops
NoobusExtremus
The Nexus Mod Manager app makes it very easy to add/remove mods, and it will track versions so you can update them if a new version of the mod is available.
Kalimni
NMM doesn't work with all mods. Most modders include a readme in their zip that details exactly how to install the mods. Most texture mods will unzip in a folder called DATA. Just drop the whole folder into your skyrim dir (usually c:/programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim) and it will merge with your existing data folder. Some people will only give you a texture folder or sounds folder, those will have to go into the data folder. All .esp and .bsa will be inside your data folder. If you get a mod that has folders you don't recognize, look for special instruction, and if you still need help, this is the place to ask!
