Manually reducing savegame bloat

Hi all,

Has anybody managed to manually reduce their savegame size to less than 15MB? Mine is 21MB and might be causing frequent random crashes in the gameworld.

Currently there is no real way to manually clear excluding the console command of disable then markfordelete but that is tedious and I usually only use it on icepiles and the random skeletons that seem to fall out of the sky and roll down hills

 

I suggest both of these mods

http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4528 (this is for no more dropped equipment in the world and cleaning nirns and ash piles and other stuff)

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3084 (this one for clearing dead corpses and such)

both are best used right from the start.

 

soon enough we will have the bash function to clear excess junk from save files. I wish after 3 incarnations of tes games and the known with mid and later stages of the game they had created a method to store info better.

Bash function? what is this, who is making it, and most importantly when and where do we get it?????

 

Ok, now for the standard soapbox speech....

It's PATHETIC that after creating killer games they still can't seem to fix the obvious. It almost makes me think they DON'T want to fix any serious issues with their games so it forces us to abandon our make believe world that we take so much time to customize.....I mean seriously! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would pay good money on top of the good money already spent for them to do their job and give us what we pay for. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's thinking it's about time for a congressional hearing.......ok, now that i spit that out i'll probably get spanked...lol.
