Crashes + Load order issue

Ok. I have checked Your suggestions - yep it took me some time to make it look easy to compare with FOMM but I made it. As I see You didn't mention Improved Sound mod - should I disable it?

 

FNV and autosaves aren't best friends at all.

 

Yep, nothing more to add. I'm wondering if... CASM has a quicksave option as it's part if I read correctly. But once I have used it and I'm not sure if after that my FPS drops didn't start. I'm not playing with FRAPS always so I can't say if I lost FPS there, but maybe that's something.

 

Have you tried making a clean save with each and every mod disabled?

 

Yes, I made few saves without all weather, texture etc. mods, but after that I get 5 FPS (sic!) and after switching them on I got 8 FPS (yupi!). And if I return with such load order to previous save game from first minutes of playing just after leaving Doc's Mitchells house game runs smooth with my 45 FPS blocked by NVSR.

 

If your game will crash while loading a save with the mods disabled, try starting a new, completely unmodded game.

 

It's my second try and first time I had the same problem as now - after some time I got FPS drop to less then 14 FPS. But I really don't remember if I used quicksave option this first try. I used it once in second try, and as I'm thinking about it right now, maybe that was a beginning of my FPS problems.

 

During Fomod-Installation, every ILO version has a detailed explanation on what plugins are required and if you need to check any other ILO options at all.

Please read those carefully when reinstalling ILO. I'm pretty sure you've installed far too many last time.

 

I have reainstalled it to a complete edition. After applying your load order suggestions one thing I noticed is much better graphic :) with same FPS problems.

 

I will start a game once again from the completely beginning and try to check what happens when I use quicksave in CASM. I hope that now it'll work. Thanks for help :)

Actually I had Improved Sound in the load order:

 

ISFX

ISFX - weapon sharing

ISFX - merged DLC

ISFX - patches

 

It's best loaded after PN.

 

And please disable every single game performance mod while testing, namely "better game performance".<

As soon as you have sorted out your problem, you can enable them again.

And you have two night brightness adjusters loaded (EC and NSkies), not that i think one of them is the cause of trouble, but you can disable the EC one.

 

For now, rename your FNV and savegame folders, make a clean install and start a new game without installing any mod (with the possible exception of bugfixes). If you want to make use of those, I suggest using the NVEC bugfixes (only the bugfixes, not the complete mod).

 

 

If anyone else reads this topic and has come across such game behaviour and might know a solution, adding a remark would be great.

I had IS but all in all I didn't need it as much, maybe I will add it in future. It's nothing big.

 

About Game performance - I have added it after my FPS drops, but truly, I don't need it I guess. Right now I have started new game, and it's good - as it was last time, because problems started later. I will play for some time and check how it works now on new game started. But I guess it was quicksave problem - that I made one, and I loaded game from it, and since that I got less FPS. But having CASM this should be CASM quicksave. Who knows.

 

But thanks for help now game looks better with all mods in proper order, I hope I won't have any other problems - I have returned to FNV two weeks ago and since that I have started game 4-5 times :D

Forgot about your FNVEdit report.

 

It basically means, that several mods change the loot rarity of some objects (weapons in your case) and the chances of finding them in a certain condition.

 

It should not be the cause of the trouble you're facing.

i'm haveing a huge issue and i don't know what to do i mean really i start up the game normal and like i go to Nash to get the blackwolf backpacks and the game crashes and i just know know what to do like ever five mins also i'm having trublle with fomm too with is always crash dumping i'm thinking i might just take everything off and start from scrach

Ech....

 

Nothing helped... Once again I got FPS drop to level of less then 15 FPS... I tried even deactivating FNV addons like OWB or LR but it didn't help. LR was the last one I bought and I fought that it can be a problem, but after deactivating it nothing get better.

 

I even reinstalled my graphic card drivers...

Any idea what to do?

 

It must be a problem of FNV, because in other Steam games I'm useing and in F3 GOTY I used about 2 weeks ago I didn't have such problems and had FPS on nice 60 FPS block.

Sorry to hear that.

 

Do you have a installation DVD or did you buy it directly from Steam?

Because if you've got one, you could try installing via DVD and stopping the autoupdate. This way you'd get a release version of FNV and could test a little further.

 

Otherwise I'm quite at a loss here and I also have to tell you, that Obsidian probably won't release any more FNV patches. Noone's working on it anymore.

Yes I had DVD retail version and this time I didn't install it from DVD, I downloaded it totally via Steam - usually I didn't do like that, but I wanted to try if it's not better to download full game instead of downloading patches.

 

Otherwise I'm quite at a loss here and I also have to tell you, that Obsidian probably won't release any more FNV patches. Noone's working on it anymore.

But I will ask one small question - how can I obtain GRA addon? I looked for it on Steam but there is no such one - is it possible to get it? I'm asking because I'm from Poland and all games realised in my country are different then "original" ones.

 

 

 

But about FPS drop it's really wired as if I come back in save games to earlier ones where game ran without problems everything starts once again - so game runs good for some time and after that it slows down.

 

I will reinstall it as there is no other way to check it, but it's really wired.... When finally I solved problems with crashes I got FPS problems :D

 

But all in all thanks for help. Your suggestions about load order were very helpful as I don't have crashes now, maybe one for some time but it's nothing special especially in this game :D

Go to shop.steampowered.com and search for "gun runners arsenal".

 

You have to verify, you are at least 18 years of age. After logging in, you should be able to buy it, given it is available in your country.

 

You can also right click FNV in the Steam library and select properties. Then click the DLC link and the game's shop DLC-page is loaded.

It looks like I can't buy it in Poland because I can't find it - when I write gun runners arsenal it shows hint to type this DLC but in results it shows only main game. Another lovely day in Polish games world... Thanks for help :)

 

Last 5% of patches and I will take another try of my Fallout NV :)
