Can someone help me install Chargen with Numbers properly? Can't

Hi.

I desperately want to see those numbers on my sliders but I cannot properly install extract the Chargen with Numbers mod.

 

I have Vista and my newly installed game. I did install the game to program files.

 

I have tried extracting the archive to both the Oblivion directory and both the data and menus folder.

 

I have specifically tried extracting the menus folder in the archive to the data folder.

 

Doing the two above actions fail with a pop-up stating that the paths specified could not be found. So.....

 

I have literally moved the race_sex_menus /xml into the data folder.

 

That didn't work either.

 

 

Gotta say, that having such difficulty with this teensy little mod is definitely making me wary of trying to get real mods for this game. I want more eyecolors too, but if I can't get this to work then I'm not even gonna try other stuff.

When you extract the mod you will see that there are two files: a ReadMe and a folder named Data.

Select and copy the folder.

Then go to where Oblivion is installed on you PC and you will see another folder named Data

Paste the new folder here.

You will get a warning that a folder already has that name and will be replaced, that's fine, just click the OK button.

That's it, it should work now.

This worked perfectly - first try. Now what I don't understand is how this wasn't one of the many variations I attempted last night for five straight hours!
