radovan
Hi everyone. I have one question. I have two esp files and part of the records in this files are identical. Is there any way to remove this identical records from one of this esp files automatically? Only way I know is manual using TES4Edit. Thanks everybody for any advice. David Brasher
There are some tools in TES CS and TES4Gecko. For example, in the CS you can go to File>Tools>Create Difference Plugin. Many operations of this nature can be done quickly and efficiently in mod-cleaning in the CS or TES4Edit. Many people will not admit it, but the CS can be faster and more efficient at modcleaning than TES4Edit. The sticking point is that there is certain mod dirt that the CS cannot possibly remove that TES4Edit easily can, such as GREETING, and certain random exterior cell edits. TES4Edit has a ton of features that no one ever learns to use. You can probably set the filters to automatically detect identical edits in your two mod versions and then go delete the ones it highlights without too much trouble. In this vein, there is the possibility that you could use Wrye Bash and TES4Gecko to temporarily master one of your files to the other, and then use TES4Edit to remove the identical-to-master records to eliminate all content that is the same in both mods. radovan
Thank you for advise. I tried master method and then TES4Edit remove identical to master record, but it doesnt help a much, almost all record stayed untouched. I believe problem may be in oblivion.esm, because all of this records changes original oblivion.esm identically in both esp files.
