Hawksforth
Hi When I recently installed a mod called Vicious Wastes and there were options to select compatibility patches for various other mods including Jsawyer and WMX, which I duly selected.I just downloaded fnvedit however, as it seems a good idea to get acquainted with it, and when I made a merged patch it included these three mods, considering I already enabled the compatibility patches through the Vicious Wastes install is it a bad idea to have them in the merged patch also? And if so should I reinstall Vicious wastes and not select the Jsawyer and WMX options? Thanks

dubiousintent
"Compatibility patches" (for more than one "master" plugin) are best left for inclusion in the "merge/bash patch". Patches that apply only to a single parent "master" mod can be merged together with the parent. Plugins that do different things and do not have compatibility patches or "dependencies" by other plugins upon them can be safely merged into a "merge plugin" file to reduce the number "active plugin" slots being used. There are some caveats though. See the wiki article "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use". -Dubious-
