rickerhk
You have to use a microphone that actually shows up when you go to your Windows control panel->sound->Recording.
dubiousintent
To clarify: a headphone with a mic will have two plugs. One is for the mic and goes into the "Mike/Recording" jack. The other is for the headphones and goes in the "Output" jack. You have to get the right plug in the correct jack. Sometimes that means you have to plug them into the jacks on the back of the case instead of the ones in front (if they exist). The ones in front at not always all connected. -Dubious- [Edit: corrected plug names.] Edited February 6, 2017 by dubiousintent
