Ultimate Combat Papyrus Spam, CTDs as a result?

These combat mods are always a headache for me :b

 

I;ve been noticing frequent crashes in dungeons half way through completing them, i wasn't quite sure as to why this was happening so i went ahead and enabled the papyrus log feature only to be confronted with the following line:

 

[Active effect 3 on (0003C99E)].aaaUCStaggerScript.OnHit() - "aaaUCStaggerScript.psc" Line 71
Spammed a fair few amount of times, this line was also present before the game CTD'd
Error: Cannot call IsBow() on a None object, aborting function call
stack:
Is this caused by Ultimate combat? The script recalled before the crash regarding a staggers definitely appear in Ultimate combat's files. But im unsure as to what the "Error: Cannot call IsBow" means.
I'm willing to guess the only fix is axeing ultimate combat from the load order?

1. I would suggest your Modern Brawl Bugs be lower in your load order.
2. Make sure that your AoS and Cutting Room Floor are compatible. I know SOS had a patch, I don't see why AOS would much different.
3. JK Skyrim recommends not using NPC Overhauls, which you have many of them.
4. Ensure that your AOS and Voice shout/improved combat sounds are compatible.
5. Harvest Overhaul may conflict with your sound mod, don't ask me why, but some do.
6. I see ragdolls and force, but with your modlist, I would highly suggest using XPMSE and not XP32MS. Place it at the bottom of your load order above Alternate start
7. I think specifically your problem may be due to your JK's Skyrim + the NPC Overhauls you have, and also the various sound mods conflicting perhaps with your combat mods. The only real way to know for sure is to look at your mods in TES5Edit and see what is conflicting with both Bold and Red Underlined text after adding a filter to find conflicts. These mods are having the problems with each other somehow.

9. I would also suggest you organize your load order a little better. It might not make a huge difference, but for some mods it does. It could be some of your problems are due to the order in which mods are being loaded. Here is what I'd suggest:

[Other .esms]

Unofficial High Res Patch

[Texture mods] (Mods that make skyrim look better)
[body Textures/Meshes] (Mods that make NPC or player look better)
FNIS
[Animation Mods]
XPMSE
Alternate Start
[Anything LOOT sorts after it]

Run LOOT and then let it have preference in where it wants your mods, but for the most part this would be where your mods will remain.

Also, make sure if you make any changes to your modlist by altering/moving/deleting mods during an active save that you either use a script cleaner or you start a new game. Skyrim bakes scripts into your game and when a script is no longer there, it can cause weird issues like this in your game.

1. I would suggest your Modern Brawl Bugs be lower in your load order.
2. Make sure that your AoS and Cutting Room Floor are compatible. I know SOS had a patch, I don't see why AOS would much different.
3. JK Skyrim recommends not using NPC Overhauls, which you have many of them.
4. Ensure that your AOS and Voice shout/improved combat sounds are compatible.
5. Harvest Overhaul may conflict with your sound mod, don't ask me why, but some do.
6. I see ragdolls and force, but with your modlist, I would highly suggest using XPMSE and not XP32MS. Place it at the bottom of your load order above Alternate start
7. I think specifically your problem may be due to your JK's Skyrim + the NPC Overhauls you have, and also the various sound mods conflicting perhaps with your combat mods. The only real way to know for sure is to look at your mods in TES5Edit and see what is conflicting with both Bold and Red Underlined text after adding a filter to find conflicts. These mods are having the problems with each other somehow.

Just a quick question regarding JK's skyrim (lite and superlite) and NPC overhauls, how exacly do they conflict? Is it not something i can find in TES5Edit? From what i can tell they have no records that they share.

 

Im guessing NPC overhauls mess with AI packages or something?

I couldn't say. I don't use the mod. I know that people have had problems in the past with NPC overhauls and the mod. There are a couple that he recommends on the page, and those I'd say are surely safe. It would be something you can find in TES5Edit either way though. If the overhauls you are using aren't conflicting at all, feel free to use them. NPC Overhauls like Cutting Room Floor mess with a lot of various things that pertain to city cells. I would say if any of them likely would cause issues, it would be that one. Some may place NPCs here and there where he has put decorations, but if you're not seeing conflicts in those worldspaces, it should be fine.
