Stargazer09
I'm trying to keep Gage from going hostile when I start Open Season. I found a post on Steam forums, where the poster said the following: Here is what I did. After completing the quest Open Season, I opened the console and typed "xx00a5b1.removefromallfactions"Then I clicked on him and typed "stopcombat player".After that I simply did the following commands.xx00a5b1.addtofaction xx056ac4 1xx00a5b1.addtofaction xx04b4d2 1xx00a5b1.addtofaction 1ec1b9 1xx00a5b1.addtofaction a1b85 1Then boom! He's not hostile and is still my companion even after destroying his home base  In another post, on Nexus, the poster said: I found a solution: Removefromallfactionsaddtofaction 1ec1b9 1addtoFaction 1c21c 1addtofaction a1b85 1 Could someone pls explain what the various codes mean? I know xx00a5b1 (0600a5b1 in my case) is the ref id for Gage. But what about the rest? And between the 2 posts, which is better or recommended? I've already gotten Gage's perk. Thanks. TheGadget1945
In my second playthrough Gage mysteriously transformed into a woman. In both my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs I just killed all the Raiders as soon as I could and in both cases I found Miss Gage waiting for me at Fizztop but not moving (much) or speaking. 2nd time I ended up killing her but this time I used AddToFaction and the mod "Caring And Sharing Companions" which allows you to recruit any NPC as a Companion. It worked a treat and I have now been travelling the Commonwealth with her for a couple of game weeks and even romanced her. PS I used AddToFaction 1c21c 0 not
Stargazer09
Doesn't addtofaction 1c21c 0 means not adding the npc to the faction (1=true, 0=false?).And what faction is 1c21c? Edit: 1c21c is the player's factionStill unable to find out what the other faction codes represent. Edited February 8, 2017 by Stargazer09
Stargazer09
Update. I couldn't get either solutions to work.I did Open Season after Power Play. Wiped out the remaining 2 gangs and their leaders in Nuka Town. Then when I approached the Grille Gage went red on me. Tried the console commands, he was still red.Oh well, too bad. Life goes on. fernicar
I will have to try this the commandline: getGlobalValue DLC04EnemyGangwill display your current value the commandline: set DLC04EnemyGang to 1allow you to kill Nisha, set DLC04EnemyGang to 2allow you to kill Mags and William, set DLC04EnemyGang to 3allow you to kill Mason without making Gage angry. Works even after ending Power Play quest (DLC04mq05) Edited March 3, 2017 by fernicar
Kodiak412
@ fernicar - If I start Power Play and type in those 4 commands that will prevent Gage from going hostile? Thanks for any reply.
fernicar
@ fernicar - If I start Power Play and type in those 4 commands that will prevent Gage from going hostile? Thanks for any reply.the best moment to type any of them is after talking with each NPC to get the perk right after Power Play quest end, then type a command and you can kill one of them, type another command and kill the other, then put it back to the original value. TheSpaceShuttleChallenger
Well I didn't necessarily start open season. I did what any level-headed dispenser of justice would do and walked out the Gauntlet with my minigun spinning, mowed down everyone who didn't wear a collar, console rezzed Mason just so I could shoot his ugly face again, and then talked to Porter. Well I guess I gave Porter PTSD or something because he just stands in one spot staring off into space all the time. I changed his faction in console, that didn't help very much. Poor guy. NyxKhaos
I know this is years later but wanted to add to this since the mod on nexus, that keeps Gage neutral, didn't seem to work anymore with recent updates for fallout 4 I tried everything listed under the sun but either Gage would stay hostile or would no longer talk or follow. So had to reload an older save, dig through numerous forums and found the solution after putting pieces together. (Finish Power Play quest and speak with the other two bosses to get their perk first if you want them) -First thing I did was disabled NPCs from seeing me with console command: tdetect You can now go around killing them all without them all becoming a problem. Or you can go to each one, open console command, click over them, and enter in: kill The kill command will not kill the head bosses of the two groups. But it will get them down on the ground, which makes it easier then to get in the last couple of shots -Dont forget about the raiders in the Cappy Cafe across from the Operators doors, the Traders Market, and there will be several outside of the Nuke World entrance way and randoms inside the Gauntlet. You must also kill Shank (one you spoke to to start the settlement takeover in the common wealth for Nuka World). Not sure if raiders will still be in the other 5 areas of the park, if you need to still do things in those other areas. Also if you put Nuka World raiders in spots in the common wealth you will want to go rid them as well, if you are looking to take Gage into the common wealth with you. Seems like if Gage ever turns hostile it will trigger most of the issues. Once every single Nuka World Raider has been wiped off the game, return to Gage Open up console command Click on Gage -(Use this opportunity to double check the numbers on the ID for him when you click over him. An ID should pop up within parentheses) Enter in: 0600a5b1.removefromallfactions -(under my game play, with my DLCs i had installed, the first two numbers were 06 at the start of Gages ID not sure if it will be the same for everyone) -I did add 06 to the xx056ac4 & xx04b4d2. Not sure if thats what they were suppose to be but I didnt get errors and it worked fine when all was done. 0600a5b1.addtofaction 06056ac4 1 0600a5b1.addtofaction 0604b4d2 1 0600a5b1.addtofaction 1ec1b9 1 0600a5b1.addtofaction a1b85 1 0600a5b1.addtofaction 1c21c 1 At this point you can reenter the console command: tdetect When you look at Gage, his name should be in the neutral color (color may depend on what you have it set. For me it is green but I have seen peoples conversation commands other colors in video clips) You should be able to interact with him normally -Only thing to know is his affinity will be set back to 0. I noticed this since I couldnt get the same conversations with him that I get through the dialogue mod for Gage when i had him at 100. To fix this: Open console command Click on Gage Enter in: modav_CA_affinity 1000 Edited October 25, 2024 by NyxKhaos
