endomatic
I have a new PC. One that can EASILY run this game at absolute maximum settings. I've been playing with mods and such lately and have found the exnem body mods and rens face pack and beautiful people. Basically, new faces, bodies and costumes. I see a lot of screenshots while I'm searching for armor and such that I like and I notice that everyone else's characters look a lot better than mine. Why is this? I have all my settings maxed, and I've even installed Qarls Texture Pack 3, which makes the environment look fantastic, but my character doesn't stack up at all. Especially compared to the screenshots and such that I see. Given that some mods are colliding, I can live with the neck/body color tone difference (where Rens ends, and exnem begins, right at the clavicle basically). But my character body has no definition at all. You can really see the stomach outline, the skin color is plain and frankly quite pale. I see no pink on the breasts or anything of that sort. I usually cover it up with armor and such anyway, so it's not a huge thing, but even with the armor on and all that my character just doesn't look as good. What am I missing here? Vagrant0
Not all videocards handle things the same. This is how the usual AVI Vs. nVidia arguments actually have a basis. Beyond that, most people who take those sorts of screenshots have their cards and their .ini files tweaked so that things look better.http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/article.asp?CIID=36546Should help some. pay close attention to where it talks about HDR lighting. Additionally turning on anti-aliasing can improve the look of the game, but will also prevent screenshots from being taken (requiring fraps). And then there is of course photoshopping. Not suggesting that you give your screenshots the playboy treatment (as in drastically altering the image), But some small changes to saturation, contrast, brightness, adding shadows, can make some difference if it's done right. endomatic
Screenshots don't concern me at all. I never plan to take any. I am interested in what looks best. I have a q6600 Quad Core4 gigs ram8800 GT 512 Card Does Bloom + AA "look" better than HDR?

AA can "look" better since it softens the edges of objects, but too much AA can lead to everything being just a blurred mess. The best advice would be to just try out multiple different things and see what works and what doesn't (make a backup of your .ini before making any changes). dyfed99
I have a new PC. One that can EASILY run this game at absolute maximum settings.Pumping the settings to the max won't help to achieve beautiful characters. World's and items detail will look better but any facial's or body's imperfection will be remarked as well. Just let the game determine your best settings changing just the screen resolution if you have a monitor which support very high resolution. Does Bloom + AA "look" better than HDR?No.. at all! It's better to raise the resolution leaving enabled the HDR. You can try nHancer to enable both AA and HDR if you want. Or use any editing software to get rid of the jagged lines. I've been playing with mods and such lately and have found the exnem body mods and rens face pack and beautiful people. Basically, new faces, bodies and costumes. Neither exnem nor rens nor beautiful people are supposed to give you better new faces. With ren and beautiful people you get new hairs and new eyes and new races but not new better face's textures.Search for mods from authors such as Maboroshi Daikon, Danis, Enayla, Miss Onatopp if you want new and better facial textures. Afaik Enayla textures are those which Floydian1 use for his characters. There are also the new Corean mod along with IFT improvements and Capsadmin's facial textures.Just keep in mind you can't use all of them together. I can live with the neck/body color tone difference (where Rens ends, and exnem begins, right at the clavicle basically). But my character body has no definition at all. You can really see the stomach outline, the skin color is plain and frankly quite pale. The best results are achieved matching the material emission setting of both the facial's and body's textures in Nifskope. Also using bodies & faces made for the same race such as Miss Onatopp's 'Elves of Lineage'. Still avoiding to play too much with the chargen's racemenu. There are some settings (such as the flush/pale mouth or the dark/clear eyeliner or eyelid) which aren't supposed to involve changes to the body's textures but they do instead!
