I understand that a lot of music mods have been removed from skyrim nexus (most likely due to copyright infringement). Is it possible that someone could create a mod where we can select what song (from our hard drive) can be played at which point.

Example: Instead of the dragon battle music i could instead play a LOTR song from my hard drive.

No doubt someone will say just go into itunes and play the song but this is not what i want... it breaks immersion and i dont want to be switching applications all the time.

There's this fantastic tool called MultiXwm that allows you to convert mp3 and wav files to xwm (which are the files the game uses for its music). All you have to do is rename the file to whatever music you're trying to replace, which you can look up using a BSA browser.

If you need help just pm me. I've done it before and it's really, really easy. Thing is sometimes the music gets cutoff in-game.

thanks, ill have a go. While this will do for now, would it be possible to add music to the game without having to remove any that already ingame?
