Ellaroth
For starters I'm no mod creator just a guy with some (CK) ideas/suggestions.Here's a list which I will clarify further down the line:English is not my native tong, so bare with me.It's a long post. The ideas/suggestions: 01.Roosters;02. Morefarm animals;03.Adjustable (mini) Mannequins;04.Pedestals;05. (mini)Alcoves;06. Makethe close surroundings of Your house usable;07. Statuettes of gods, goddesses and/or Daedra Lords which in time influence Your house and it's surroundings;08. Commission armor/weapons / jewelry / misc at smithy;09. Dragon-lings or Hatchlings as pet;10. Themed PC houses (not always in a city or bought from a Jarl);11. Buyable and/or Forgeable (mini) Mannequins that you can carry around in Your inventory. Like You see most of the ideas / suggestions are linked to each other. 01. Roosters:Everywhere You look there are chickens but no roosters. Why not create a new model for a rooster?Nothing beats the sound of a cuckledoodledoo in the morning. Needs its own sounds and movements (including short distance flying, so needs movable wings). Will also need to behave and defend its chickens and chicks, just like real rooster would do. 02. More farm animals:Why are there only chickens and cows on the farms? Why not throw in some geese or a pigpen? All with their own movements and sounds? The geese could go swimming in a nearby pond or stream.Just like the roosters they also would need to be able to fly or flap their wings while charging at treats (including You). Also why not throw in some (optional depending on FPS) chicks and/or ducklings and/or piglets? 03. Adjustable (mini) Mannequin(s):Right, this is a big one. In a previous post I suggested to give every (mini) Mannequin its own ShowRaceMenu (SRM).After some rethinking I came up with the following alternative: Use the PC SRM with an extra option.Use Your PC SRM to make all adjustments and when You press R (Done), You will get a pop-up. The pop-up will give You 2 options: "Do You want to apply the adjustments to:" 1. Yourself.2. (mini) Mannequin(s). You will have to put a cross in 1 of the 2 boxes (or both if You want Your (mini) Mannequins to look like You). Vendor owned (mini) Mannequins or other in game (mini) Mannequins will not be affected. If You choose 1 You will just go to naming Yourself, just like in the old way.If You choose 2, or cross both boxes, You will get the question "Are You Sure?" Yes / No. Yes, will apply the changes to the (mini) Mannequin(s).No, will bring up the previous screen where You get to choose between 1 or 2 or Both. If You haven't adjusted a (mini) Mannequin or don't own the house yet the (mini) Mannequins (mixed sexes) will have a default stance (Prisoner including the ragged clothes and bonds). (mini) Mannequins are also influenced by the body mod(s) You use. Although the body hair will not be applied (except for the head) never seen a (mini) Mannequin with chest hair before. If You want to adjust just one (mini) Mannequin you could use the ~ menu and get its ID-code so the PC SRM will only adjust that one. 04. Pedestals:Also a big one. Be able to place inside and/or outside of the house pedestals. You can buy them at the vendors or forge / commission them Yourself. Depending on what You want to place on them You have to choose a size. For example: 1. You want to place a life-sized Mannequin at the entrance to Your house. The life-sized Mannequin has a wide stance so the pedestal will need to be rectangular. 2. You want to place a (Troll)skull or other small based item. The pedestal can be square or round. The material of the pedestal is dependent of the source. If You buy them at a vendor they will be made from wood or stone (same type as Your house). If You forge it Yourself or commission it at a smithy, it will be made out of metal,so no fur or leather here (or only for decoration purposes). The pedestal (and everything on it) will need to be part of the surroundings so if someone or something bumps in to it, it won't move.Placing items on it will be like placing books using some sort of bookshelf menu. The (mini) Mannequins will keep their own menus. If you use a pedestal containing a (mini) Mannequin you could also place items at or between its feet (like skulls or weapons, see statue of Atos / Ysmir for reference). The height of the pedestal will need to be adjustable in steps so you'll only have3 or 4 height models.Would also be nice to be able to place 2 pedestals on top of each other. For example: You use a low stone pedestal to create a flat surface and you put a second (round or square) one on top which will hold the object(s). 05. (mini) Alcoves:Place alcoves on either side of the front door to a house (player owned or not) or temple / vendor or actually everything with a door will do (including mines, caves or boroughs). Some dungeons already have (restless) Draugr standing in them. Depending on the amount of space next to the door the size of the alcoves change. If you have a lot of space you could have an alcove big enough to hold a life-sized Mannequin or other big object (stuffed Bear or Troll for example). With less space you could use a mini alcove which could hold skulls or statuettes / mini Mannequins. Also loadable by some sort of bookshelf menu.Small items can be turned around to face a specific way. (mini) Alcoves can also be placed inside the house. 06. Make the close surroundings of Your house usable:Make the first 3 feet in front of the facade of a player owned house "owned" so you can place items there without losing them to a reset or stumble upon. This way You could have weapons and/or shields and/or skulls hanging on the facade of Your house. Also if You place other items close to the house they won't be reset or stolen. 07. Statuettes of gods, goddesses and/or DaedraLords which in time influence Your house and it's surroundings:Most statuettes (so no smaller copies of shrines) will probably need to be made from scratch because they only exist on paper.Place a statuette in a small alcove above the front door to Your home and depending on the deity the house will change its appearance over time. Statuettes need be bought at temples or vendors or even forged / commissioned at the smithy in a metal of your choosing. For example: A statuette of Dibella or Mara will (in time) make the house exterior / interior and its surroundings look more appealing / friendlier.More greens (flowers, bunny's, deer and such, You get the picture) maybe also harvestable ingredients. A statuette of a Draemora Lord will make the house exterior and interior and it's surroundings look more darker and sinisterA reddish glow, some dark smoke, a more Daedric appearance and maybe in time very local weather (a thunderstorm hanging above the house with blood red acidic rain and (chain) lightning which will hit innocent bystanders passing the house) (key persons won't get killed only badly hurt). Also some small Daedra running around pestering everybody. When placed inside the house on a shelf / table or in a mini alcove the effect won't happen, only when placed in the mini alcove outside above the front door. 08. Commission armor / weapons / jewelry / misc. at Smithy:If Your no smith or don't have the necessary skills or time, you can commission a smith to make you a weapon or armor (even the modded ones). Most of the smiths in the game have the standard sentence that they can forge a blade or piece of armor for You. You just need to ask. Why not actually do just that? If You commission something the smith will give You a list with items they need to make it (and the total costs). On the list he/she has also marked what they have in store and what you need to collect. The more items you bring, the lower the total costs will be (You could even look for the items they already have in store). Items (when ready) will be neatly crated up and delivered to a PC house of Your choice. 09. Dragon-lings or Hatchlings as pet:Midas magic's gave me this idea, but then not as a summon but as a pet. You'll need to feed the pet or else it will go after wild rabbits, foxes, small farm animals or later on the not so Hatchling anymore will take on even bigger challenges for a meal like cows, horses, Wolves, Mountain Lions. Spiders, Bears, Trolls, Tuskars, Travelers, Townspeople, Soldiers. Merchant-caravans, Mammoths and Giants or even other Dragons. The Hatchling will become bigger and stronger (leveled) over time until it's a full grown Dragon (and hopefully still listens to its owner or he / she will also become the next dinner opportunity). The Dragon-lings and Hatchlings can fly and use elemental attacks and The Voice. If You are in a walled city it will fly over the wall to look for food. You can make Your pet Dragon essential, so it can't be killed. 10. Themed PC houses (not always in a city or bought from a Jarl): Forexample: A Vampire themed house exterior and interior (maybe also controlled by a Draemora Lord statuette). PC Bed will be replaced by a coffin (lid will need to work like the one on a display case) In the"Kitchen Area" cages with "fresh caught meals" and in the basement a supply room with meat hooks on the walls and ceiling with multiple victims hanging down from them (maybe some still alive and wiggling but bleeding from various wounds to collect the blood in some sort of central pit used for harvesting. The amount of victims (meals) changes over time. Some leave, some new ones take their place. Some minions (the 3 Brides of Dracula, for example) to take care of the house and its occupants. Perhaps someTrolls as bodyguard (werewolves don't seem such a good idea). Before You know it some local hero on a quest (multiplayer option?) will come and visit during daytime (so when You sleep). You don't want to see that wooden pike sticking out of YOUR chest the next evening.Instead a new addition to the dinner table would be nice. Wolves and Frost spiders guarding the surrounding grounds.Bats flying around as decoration.Former dinners hanging on X crosses scattered across the grounds. Grounds and surrounding area have a dark en creepy atmosphere / scenery which will get stronger closer to the house, maybe even other (wilder) weather. An all year round Halloween party.http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif A spire or tower connected to the house containing a library on the lower floors and laboratories with lightning elements on the higher floors and maybe even a scenery / landing platform protected by a glass dome on the top floor. Instead of Mannequins a pair of skeletons hanging in clasps placed in the alcoves next to the front door (maybe some unfortunate tax collector with his regalia and entourage). House comes with its own House Carl (type Lurch or Igor (including voice and looks)).House Carl has no connection to a Jarl and won't leave the house (it's a Butler not a Follower). Some hunting party's skimming the local roads for unfortunate travelers placing them in a large keep or cages on the grounds before they are processed to the kitchen area or basement. 11. Buyable and/or Forgeable (mini) Mannequins that you can carry around in your inventory:If you want to place a (mini) Mannequin on a pedestal (or somewhere in your house You will need to have it in Your own inventory first.Once placed the (mini) Mannequin can only be moved or turned around to face another direction after you have used a dialogscreen which will also have the inventory option.Otherwise it's part of the surroundings and can't be knocked over. That's it Folkshttp://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/dance.gif
