Female Archery Fix

I know this thread is pretty old, but I only started noticing the issue of weapons being resized when drawn by females in Skyrim, and it's driving me NUTS now!!

Stranger, I tested your skeleton_female.nif file. and it DOES indeed correct weapon scaling in the left hand!

PLEASE, can you simply edit that skeloton and do the same for the right hand so that the scale remains the same as for males/sheathed weapon?

EDIT: Scratch that request. I was able to figure out how to edit the skeleton_female.nif using NifSkope. I compared your version with the default that I had and found where you increased the scale (at L_Hand - SHIELD). So I just made the change to R_Hand - WEAPON, and that fixed the female weapon scaling once and for all! Thanks so much for releasing that file. It really pointed me in the right direction.

Would you please, release this on the Nexus as an unofficial fix for the rest of us?

I don't play female characters, but on the off chance I ever do, I want the game to be fixed as much as it can be along with other unofficial patches & bug fixes.

Sorry I didn't reply to your post sooner. My Gmail put the notification in my spam folder. I only just checked that folder today and saw that this post had been updated.

I would love to share this fix with everyone, however there are two things:

1 - I am not AT ALL a pro at modding Skyrim, and I have zero experience with the Creation Kit. I spent hours figuring out how to do this while staying home sick from work. So I cannot offer support and would release it as is.

2 - I had to modify an already existing mod to get this to work. Specifically, I downloaded one of the 280+ Custom Skeleton Replacers by Skulltyrant

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16712/?

I think I used the one with DSpSoB and TBBP support. Brought it into NifScope, made the scaling changes and saved it to the appropriate folder. There are over 280 skeleton files for the female mesh for all types of mods. I cannot add my changes to all those files, plus I would need the original mod author's permission to post mine.

I just don't have the time or energy to spend on modding for the public. If you really want my fix, then I guess I could send it via PM. But I take no responsability for anything after that.
