HOW TO MOD?

I am a coder by trade and just wondering where I can find any tutorials etc on how to mod Skyrim. I've been googling like crazy but all I find are sites that show how to tweak the ini files for game performance or sites like this that have mods to install.

Anyone know of any good sites that are a good starting point to learn how to mod Skyrim??

Nowhere's hosting anything interesting right now because there is no Creation Kit. You could, if you're interesting in scripting for Skyrim, download SKSE and/or Script Dragon and check them out. Both are C++ based extenders that are the only existing way to create scripts for Skyrim, to my knowledge.

Otherwise you can try learning with the GECK, or blender, or nifskope, etc. if you want to mod in other ways.

Actually, it will be closely related to the New Vegas GECK, since that was the starting point for the Skyrim engine/toolset.
