Anzan
I'm trying to add a wolf ears item to Skyrim, and I'm using the popular werewolf model used in a lot of Oblivion mods for it. I've got the model and the skeleton all set, but I'm not quite sure how to export it as a nif properly from Blender. I originally tried using this tutorial using a different model that had been made for Skyrim (and that attempt failed anyway), but this model was not made for Skyrim so I'm kind of at a loss as to how to export this from blender and turn it into a working mesh. I figured I'd just replace the headband mesh from Kaw's cat disguise with these in order to get them into the game, but again I need a working mesh before I can do that. Would someone be so kind as to help me figure out what to do please? Here's the .blend file if anyone wants to take a shot at it.http://www.mediafire.com/?dsxc3aao2pjonb3 Thanks
gorgongon
I think the easiest metod would be this one http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/469935-modding-skyrim-with-tessnip-and-nifskope/
Anzan
Ok, thank you. I just tried that, but it isn't quite working. When I import the mesh into kaw's cat headband's mesh in nifskope, the mesh appears way above my character's head and becomes very distorted. If I import the .obj without outright replacing a NiTriShape block, it won't show up in game. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong.
gorgongon
I'm actually having the same problem with my custom helmet. That metod seems to work fine for weapons and rings, but i think you have to do some tweaking with armor.
