Armoured Followers of the Apocalypse Lab Coat

Something's always bugged me,about Arcade. If you wanted to keep him around, and make sure he doesn't die the second something looks at him funny, you needed to give him armour. Problem is,the second you do,his identity as a Followers member is obliterated. The only alternative is the All-Purpose Science Suit, but more often than not,the player takes it,thanks to its phenomenal Weight:Armour ratio. It doesn't help that my current playthrough, that of a mad scientist, has laid claim to that suit, because it offers armour while also plugging into the mad scientist look.

So,my request is thus; Would somebody be willing to make an Armoured Followers' Lab Coat item? I'd like it to be instantly apparent that it is property of the Followers of the Apocalypse,as well as visibly armoured. I wish it to be light-class armour, comparable to higher end light armour, like the aforementioned All-Purpose Science Suit. And,of course, there should be male and female variants. Preferably available only in the safehouse.

Really,it'd make sense for the Followers to have an armoured variant of their uniform. They quite often do field work, and Vegas is their frontier, where safety cannot be guaranteed. The Followers are a smart bunch, and so it stands to reason that they'd be able to produce armoured uniforms for when they head out into the field, even if they have to MacGuyver the things.

In my head, the shoulder markings should not be covered by pauldrons. So,that limits protection to the torso and legs. Which is fine by me; The armour's supposed to be a survival aid,not assault armour.

There are probably more creative solutions, but a quick, simple and effective choice could be a variant of a armored vest outfit. Something like the Vault 34 security armor has no shoulder pads and is comparatively easy to put together in blender. It's DT can be ridiculously high (16dt for v34), it's still light armor and the majority of it is under the lab coat thus keeping the iconic look of the followers.

Something like this? Too much? Too less?

EDIT: other version, MUCH more easy to make (the mask is just for fun, helmet is the same)

I love the first version; It looks perfect for the under-staffed and under-supplied Vegas branch of the Followers. Although,I use ADAM and NCR Rearmament; Would either of those muck with the chestplate,or would your version be able to use the old NCR breastplate while the NCR in my modded game uses their modded armour?

Extract this in the same folder where you have your falloutNV.exe and active with your favorite mod manager.

I put the armor (male only for now) in a brifcase behind Doctor Mitchel´s House, for my own tests. Dont worry about clipping and such for now.

Whelp, that's a confirmation. Something I have installed, most likely ADAM and/or NCR Rearmament,is wreaking unholy havoc on your work's textures on both the helmet and coat's armour pieces. Which is unfortunate, because I wholly love your work in the above screenshots. I took the screenshot after making a merged patch.

huummm........I doubt it. It seems to be something wrong on my side.

I do not have any of the two mods you mentioned, but I looked at the photos and they both did not seem to use the Stealth Suit Mark II pants. So at least the pants should work.

Let me think here. In the meantime, do me a favor. Disable these two mods (no need to uninstall), re-install my plugin and tell me the result.
