N7R
So I've been successfully making a custom weapon from scratch for Fallout 4 very nicely. For all the problems I did stumble across I was able to figure it out on my own eventually. However, now I've come across something I just can't fix and am really hoping someone knows the answer to. For some really odd reason when my gun is in direct sunlight and facing at a certain angle (one side is facing away from the sun basically) the side of the gun that should be fully in shadows still has section of it lit up like it has some sort of back light on it: http://i.imgur.com/XZyTgbQ.jpg Now I know what you might be thinking, it must be the normals on the gun are wrong or I had some setting in nifskope that has like a back light set up but those are not the case. When the gun is viewed in 3rd person (from the exact same spot) it looks completely fine: http://i.imgur.com/GO2p4kO.jpg When the gun is at the same angle but in full shadows or inside a building the gun looks perfect as well: http://i.imgur.com/T7t9A27.jpg I have referenced other weapons both mods and vanilla guns and they don't seem to have this same lighting bug like mine does. I really don't know what could be causing it as I have looked through materials and nifskope options to see if any setting on my models were different and I could not find a thing. Its mostly just a really annoying graphical bug that makes my gun look lame at certain angles outside and was really hoping there is a solution to fix it.
