Rombbb Posted February 12, 2017 Share Posted February 12, 2017 (edited) Hi,Can someone cut out the two spider types from skymomodv13 (available on moddb) for a standalone SE spider mod ? http://www.moddb.com/mods/skymomod-v13/images/spiders-and-hellhound They're way more scary and would be super cool.Can't do it myself, in over my head, problem is that it isn't a simple mesh/text replacer but I guess it are newly added models. For instance the textures are in a different folder and have different files than the Frostbite Spider location and file names in default Skyrim. So I guess the default game won't be finding and using them and they need activation via an esp (or something :-)The textures are in skymomods textures/spiders folder (in the bsa). The meshes are in the meshes/actors/frostbite folder and I guess only spiderstripe.nif, spidertan.nif, spidy.nif, venom.nif and widow.nif are relevant files. The other 5 nifs in that folder are for spider-esque but other kind of monsters.So request is to cut these out of the mod, maybe adjust the nifs to the new SE format (if required) and make an esp that will add them to the world. Preferably as a replacer of the original frostbites given that those have such weird heads (look a bit like a locomotive or something, don't know why).This is out of my league, no idea how to replace one type of animal with multiple other models of the same type of animal. If someone is willing to give pointers I can give it a shot though. I would simply take the nifs and texts from skymomod and rename them to the default spider names and put them in the default location. For the nifs that seems possible, but for the texts it isn't as those are more files than the default ones (so can't replace one-on-one), and am not sure how to let the the nif (or engine) know which texts to load over the relevant nif.If it works that would be great, game will be much more scary for it :-) Edited February 12, 2017 by Rombbb Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
