Outfit Studio messing up meshes on export

So I try to edit the Veteran Ranger armor to fix clipping with another mod, but after I export the mesh it comes out with a mutilated left arm. Here is how it looks in nifscope.

http://i.imgur.com/cBcsA3v.jpgIs there some solution to this? I am not an experienced modder or modeler (far from it). But I want to edit the mesh a bit. Is there anyway I can do it?

This is caused by bad weight painting. Outfit Studio is great for weight painting, but it isn't perfect. This looks like one example where some manual weight painting is going to be necessary.

Thanks for the advice! Now how can I do that:)? Where to begin?
