JamesPoulton
I'm left handed and I think it sucks that in all games, people are right handed, so could someone, somehow make a mod so you can play left handed.I don't know where to start xD Thanks in advance :)
Ygfbv
Pretty much every animation would have to be reversed or heavily modified. It'd be a huge effort for a mostly cosmetic effect, so I doubt that anyone will do it. I'm a lefty too. D:
onclebem
Dual weilding could be nice to put the effort far as a simple cosmetic effect Edited January 21, 2012 by onclebem
JamesPoulton
So it's not going to happen? Damn, I wish games would just add like, an option to make it possible to play left handed
TrooperScooperMKII
As a lefty, I have rather... odd... feelings here.As much as I'd like this to happen, the animation work involved (not to mention modded weapons) pretty much guarantees that it isn't going to exist, ever. Unless it was a dual wielding situation, I doubt it would be worth the effort.
KurodaKazuki
It seems to me that it would just simply be a mirror of the current animations to the opposite hand, doesn't seem that hard. Games like Cross Fire (A F2P FPS) and TF2 (same thing as Cross Fire) have mirror to left hand options.
Thuellai
Games get mirrored plenty. I remember Twilight Princess got mirrored when moved over to the Wii because apparently they thought Link being left-handed (as he canonically is) would somehow confuse the perspective for the player motion controls (which doesn't make much sense to me)
stupidname1313
LEFTIES ARE THE DEVIL'S MINIONS! I WILL DIE BEFORE I LET YOU MOLEST MY FALLOUT! But for real that sounds like a good idea; Fallout should be more inclusive
Gribbleshnibit8
While you might be left handed, the Courier apparently is not. So :P Joking aside, the work required for this would be pretty crazy. Yes, there are games with a mirror option, or that have been mirrored, but those games aren't Fallout. To do that in Fallout, my understanding is that it would require reworking every animation, which not really anybody around knows how to do. Besides, Fallout being a gun focused game, and most every gun in the world being made for the predominantly right handed population, it makes sense you'd wield right handed. I believe that quite a few shooters (police, military, etc) also have left handed people who shoot right handed because who wants to be smacked in the face by several dozen pieces of hot brass every time you have to fire. My point being, if you want it that badly, learn to do it as many modders have (you would be well respected if you learned animations), otherwise let it be the way it is :)
Deleted52794416User
While you might be left handed, the Courier apparently is not. So :tongue:Necroposting here, but you may have forgot, that the Courier, and pretty much every other Fallout protagonist is meant to be you, the player there.Fallout is a RPG series, meaning that you create your character and you decide how they'll be and how they'll behave, just like The Elder Scrolls. A Role-Playing Game.Being the Courier right-handed or not, it's the player that decides how they'll be in the game. So the left-hand option should exist.PS: I'm not lefty(Neither in hand, political side or whatever), but i think that there should be a left-hand option for lefty players, because being forcebilly right-handed breaks the immersion a lot.
