Luvi505
Plain and simple, I want a mod that makes soul gems re-usable, not giving infinite uses from a soul, but making it so refilling and enchanting and the such dosn't break the darn gem, it just consumes the soul and gives you back the empty gem. Makes enchanting a less expensive crafting tree. Also, I've seen a mod that lets you smelt down equipment into raw materials, but it included a crapton of other things that I didn't want, so if anyone could do that, plain and simple smelting into raw materials, i'd REALLY be happy. thedemoninside
Just get Azura's star. Its reusable. Soul gems are everywhere, easy to fill, and filled ones can easily bought in Winterhold college. Money should not be a problem. By level 30(that I reached within a few days) I had at least 40k in gold and proudspire manor fully upgraded. If you want the game to be even easier than that, then why bother playing? Might as well just spawn full black soul gems in the console.

The rest of my mods are cosmetic, plus some tweaks for magic durations to make it easier to do with only 2 hotkeys without wasting 40%-ish of the battle on the favorites menu. Not to mention hotkeys are iffy as is, so I'm kinda forced to use the favorites menu. The only thing I wanted easier is crafting, don't be a jackass, it was a simple request. Besides, it's a game, it's meant to be fun, not purely just challenging the player, people should play how they want, not how the community wants them to. Think about what will happen. You will have a ridiculous amount of gold from selling all those suddenly useless soul gems you find. So instead of you for some reason being broke, you will have tons of useless gold and an easy 100 in enchanting. So this is why I think the idea is silly. Just console spawn the filled soul gems, or set your enchanting to 100. Either option there is quicker than making a silly mod like this.

First off, let me say I did not intend to offend, I just hate when people say that. "Why bother playing at all?" I'd prefer not to cheat and console things in. Plus, I wanted those so I could REDUCE the amount of soul gems I pick up. I don't like picking up things that aren't worth the carry weight, plus I'm a neat freak and don't like having most of my inventory spammed with Soul Gems. Also, It's slightly more logic / lore friendly in my view, I don't see why a gem would crumble if it was structuraly secure before it had the soul in it, it also seems like a "waste". Then again, it IS magic, and souls are usually considered strong, so I guess that could make it crumble upon removal... Oh, and also, I play a literal pure mage, maybe sometimes with a bit of rogue that I can get in with the Thieves and Dark Brotherhood, but other than that, I don't use weapons for easy use of Soul Steal or whatever, and am reduced to using the close ranged and tedious spell version of it, so yeah. thedemoninside
I'm not trying to offend either friend, I just want you to know that you're mod idea is a complicated solution to a simple fix. I have never used the console command, but setting enchanting to 100 I think gives you all the XP and perk points along with it, and takes about 30 seconds. Someone probably will come along and make this mod, but it probably won't be a priority when the console is a simple fix for your problem

Not sure who came up with that rumor...
