mariodante
Hello everyone. As you all may know, the CK is coming out within the next two weeks. With this, we can take modding to a new level. I, for one, want to start a project of recreating martial arts to replace the usually lame unarmed fighting style in Skyrim. I think it would be great to edit the animations and executions so that characters could be seen doing an array of amusing martial arts moves. We could create various styles, simplistic ones, like Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, Karate, Judo, etc. Executions could involve big, cool looking hits or a wild throw or lock. I think it would be very fun to add to the game, especially to add on to the games of people who like to upgrade the unarmed aspect of the game with an unarmed leveling system. And hopefully in the future this can expand; say maybe we could start quests that involve fight clubs or other archetypical martial arts storylines. We could even look into armor and body editing to replicate famous fighting game characters, like Street Fighter, Tekken or Mortal Kombat characters or etc. I hope some people are on board for this project, and once the CK comes out I hope we may quickly and efficiently see this sort of thing come true. Jakisthe
A heads up: that would be incredibly hard to animate.
jack254
I would be happy with better punching and the addition of kicking.
DreamCodex
A heads up: that would be incredibly hard to animate. mostly time consuming if you already know the certain style, and i can try to animate kung fu preying mantis fist if you would like but i do not know how to put my animations into skyrim yet
Jakisthe
Well, I guess tedious would be more the correct word than difficult. It would take forever, is my point. Even if you know the style, making it look natural is..challenging, to say the least.

Tom2681
If you equip me with motion capture sensors, I'll happily armbar Spriggans with my jiujitsu. And I'd pay good money to be able to knock out charging bandits using my Tae Kwon Do spinning back kick. Baconpalooza
I only kind of know how to work it in Maya, but you can use kinect as a basic mocap tool that actually works pretty well. Only problem is its limited on joints, so no 5 finger death punching.
