Ichinzen2
I just want to know what the possible reasons would be for a mod to come under review from a moderator.
KunoMochi
When a file has been reported to have some serious breaches against our Terms of Service, and that there is enough evidence to back up the claim so we need to preserve it while we contact the mod author to reply back. Majority of this happens to be copyright claims and permissions disputes. In some cases, some mod authors may be gone or ignore our messages and therefore ends up staying locked under Moderator Review indefinitely until the author can get back to us. Ichinzen2
Sounds very ineffective considering the fact the mod gets locked up indefinitely. Both for the site and inconvenient for the people looking for the mod.
KunoMochi
Seeing as the mod in question shouldn't have been uploaded without proper permissions, credits, and/or licensing in the first place after being presented with enough proof to suggest so, locking the mod up indefinitely until further proof of such is actually quite effective. Remember, we don't lock mods up unless there is enough evidence and proof presented to lead us to believe that the mod should not have been uploaded in the first place. Once locked, it is up to the author to provide a counter claim or modify their mod so that the previous claims do not apply to it anymore. It may be inconvenient for some people, yes, but the investigation takes priority.
boomstick467
Hi so two of my mods are under review but I have nothing to hide, I got permission from the authors and Iâm a little confused.
