Shetyre
well, i maxed out, and it kinda sad that everything is so powerfull and high end now, like any caster having uber spells, all bandits have top armor (sadly as i do) , every dragon is an ancient dragon..... etc. its not about the point of getting hard or something, i just want to play and have the feeling, I R T3H DOVAHKIN, I R SPECIAL ! so my question would be, if most enemys lvl up with me, and i force my lvl to 15- 25 with player.setlevel Xwill this degrade the enemys aswell ? Smithy8910
Yes, I'm pretty sure after about 3 in-game days you will notice a change in your enemies difficulty. It might take a few cycles though, so after 3 days the 'deathlords' may become 'scourges' and then after another 3 days they will drop again to 'restless' etc. Also, the equipment you will be able to buy and find will be inferior as well, but if you've been playing a while at a high level you'll probably have all you need by now. MonsoonWave
Why not just set the difficulty to easy?
TimF
The auto-levelling is ridiculous, of course. Because if you want to maximize the power of your build, you would have to avoid some of the leveling, basically staying around 40 or below 50. Leveled loot is even worse - especially since the crafting system would allow you to produce the best of the best weapons in game, and that is long before anything even close to it would start to appear. And yes. This command would degrade the environment to the specified level.
Shetyre
its not even about the leveling, it kinda gives me the feeling of , idk. as if my friend had better toys then me ? know what m sayin ?
pekkape
I really dont think you should look at what your friend has or not as you will get there as well. The question is if he uses mods to get better stuff or if he cheats? ;)

thesapien
Oh, wait, I do see your problem with merely lowering the difficulty. You want to show off your bling and not see others with bling. Thing is, if you're a master crafter and enchanter, your bling really should be better than most in Skyrim at any level. If you want to feel powerful with or without toys against an ancient dragon, lowering the difficulty will do that. If you don't want to see so many powerful foes, you'll need to cheat. Have you tried RP'ing it a bit differently? Maybe think of what makes you so awesome is your strategy, tactics, and skills, yo. Not so much your raw power or toys. Try taking on a saber tooth tiger with nothing but a dagger and no armor and see how that feels when you walk away and the tiger doesn't as compared to taking one down with dragon armor and enchanted axe. I like the way I can't just go crazy leveling up everything across the board without being penalized in some way. A character without focus shouldn't be as skilled in any one thing. If you spend a lot of time making potions and dealing with merchants, you've lost time that could had been invested in practicing one-handed attacks. Makes sense. I also like the leveled loot because it keeps things more challenging and interesting. Otherwise, I get bored in combat and lose interest in searching for new loot. Shetyre
its not about dificulty either, it just makes me loose interested when every drop is ebony and every boss chieftain has all the armorz and not the sh1tty fur they used to wear. i play on master right now, without any actualy cheating or OP god like mods, the game was fairly easy from beginning (but i wont even consider to take one of those HERE HARDCORE REALISM MAKES SKYRIM Better mods) just want to degree my lvl, so the mobs are same strong as i am (tho im farther leveld) and every second item i pick up is not an high end item. at the beginning of the game i was like , HOLY KAMOLY I PICKED ELVEN gearz ! OOOMAAN got me some awesom potions, now its like, heey .... another ultimate healing potion, ancient dragon, ebony gear part. gonna try out it tomorrow or so with a new char, if setting myself to lvl 100, and waiting like 10 days, chaganges the game, and vice versa Edited January 22, 2012 by Shetyre
