More issues for the road.

I hate having to come here and start topics because I cant fix an issue, but some of my issues exist just to stump my mind.

So, I'm going to mention my issues, but if you have issues, feel free to tell me about yours, I can solve most things, just this one has stumped me.

 

So recently, i got back into modding FNV, everything ran smoothly, 132 mod limit as usual, was looking good.

But now I've got these issues:

From getting my first companion, who first was Rusty the bear (a mod), I heard this noise that sounded like a ragdoll freaking out in the ground, or just freaking out in general. When I turned around and looked at rust, the noise went away, so I assumed it was tied to him because his model was a teddy bear with its own ragdoll physics, so I ignored it.

The issue persisted after second companion from the ARES mod, walked around behind me. That's when I thought to try and fix it, with very little success.

 

My second issue is simpler however, and I just want to know if my issue is what I think it is.

So, I found the hidden bunker of BOS, unrealising it was that, and then found that, being greeted by the first paladin, Paladin Ramos I think, his face was pink and his Brotherhood t-51b armor was missing, leaving his pink hands and face. What was weirder, that the ground he was standing on was also pink. So, I ran archive invalidation, it fixed his face, but not his suit. Do I need to find the mesh for his suit? I'm 95% sure that the male mesh has not been changed.

Again, Post your issues so I can help with those, I'm not bad at modding, its just that I've come across glitches and bugs I simply cannot fix. :P

Regarding your "pink textures". See the "Issue: Pink Screen or textures" entry in the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

 

Re: your sound issue. That's a new one to me. The only thing I can offer remotely related is the "Issue: Ambient music skips/jitters/hiccups/pops/stutters" entry in the "Troubleshooting" guide, but will be interested to hear of any actual solution. [Edit:] A short audio or video file illustrating the sound might help someone recognize it. Verbal descriptions of sounds are usually inadequate.

New vegas continues to amaze me.

So, during the recording, I had absolutely nothing to record about, as the noise was not showing up anymore.

I've also taken into account the pink screen and textures thing, and will edit accordingly.

But, I think the noise is caused by the new Vulpine race, as they use a tail which can be animated, that requires a collision mesh. Whilst sneaking, I think the tail is having a moment in first person, but in third person, no noise is to be heard. Same and vice versa. I'll keep trying, and see if I can land the noise...

Just found a newly released mod that may solve your sound problem: "Human Collision sounds Removed".

 

Description:
Simply replaces the "phy_bodyfall" sound files with silent ones, preventing annoying situations where the sound would play to an excessive degree -- Such as followers clipping into the ground or NPCs clipping into the chair they are sitting in.
