DarkImpulse
Oh, okay, thanks for the clarification on OBSE. All these various body replacers are overwhelming to a newbie to be honest, I have a tough time choosing. They all look good and seem to have pro's and cons. Is there a way to merge all of them or do they overlap too much? If nothing else I assume exnem's would be best since he also has a complete pack of stock Oblivion clothes replacer pack as well, and just shove in Ren's beauty pack for the Mystic Elf race. There also appears to be some sort of "bouncing breasts" mod for exnem... lol no idea on how that will go. As far as the patch is concerned, I tried that but it gives no mention as to what file it's giving the error on, it just says "Old File not found." I'm going to try to extract Ren's Beauty pack and a random exnem pack and see if I can use that TES4Gecko program to merge them.
bben46
Unfortunately, Oblivion only allows one body type to be in the game. There is a good pictorial comparison of the different types here.http://sanitycontrol.com/oblivion/ It doesn't have a write up though. Body mods are a matter of opinion and everyone seems to have a different opinion as to what is important to them. I prefer the Eshme's body. It is available as seen with underwear, or with an optional nude add on. It is older and no longer supported, but it can wear all of the vanilla clothing and has a good selection of custom clothing available from a shop that comes with the mod. Custom armor, heavily enchanted armor, clothing and some sexy outfits only available for this body are included. Most of the vanilla armor and clothing has been made by modders to fit the other bodies. Some have their own shops - look up Apachii Goddess Store for the exnem body - currently the most popular. Body replacement and beautification mods seem to cause many problems for new players. Start with just the body only. Make sure it works, then add the beauty mods (Rens, and others) one at a time and test each one before adding another. Some will not work properly with others. Look for combined versions of these where someone has figured out the incompatibilities and fixed them in a single mod. One more advanced trick is to load clothing from a mod you like, even if it does not fit the body you like. Then when you use that clothing or armor, it replaces that part of the body with the other one, just as if you were using that part of the other body (such as torso). But, with certain exposed portions of the body you may get unexpected results. Such as a weird color on exposed flesh, or strange writing on arms, or missing hands or other body parts. Edit: Here is some new info on updating the GOTY version with the latest patch http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16271Vagrant is right about the GOTY being bugged, this guy seems to have found a way around the patch install problem. I haven't tried this as I don't have the GOTY let us know how it works out.
