Kartaugh
Well, I've just downloaded something like 200 new weapons and armor pieces to the game, and I'm very happy to see that none of them caused problems...at least technical ones. But I do have one reservation about some of the items...they sometimes require too few items (and low level ones at that) to craft. One example is the Frostmourne import, which is extremely powerful, available to craft with steel smithing, and costs very little to craft. Another good example is the pack that includes items like the Wolf Claymore, the Noble Claymore and so on. This last pack features the weapons for sale in the vendors at very reasonable prices for their power, which is to say they cost astronomically more than any other item in the vendors. However, they are VERY easy to craft at the forge. What I would like to know is how can I change the smithing requirements for these custom weapons? What files do I have to edit? What programs do I use to open those files (i.e. do I have to use Hex editing or not?)? An example of what I'd like to do is take a certain ingot type and up its requirements for that specific weapon....so let's say Frostmourne needs 5 steel ingots...I want to make it require 50 (just as an example) in order to more accurately reflect the power of the weapon. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Kartaugh
Nevermind, I just found Skyedit and have succesfully modified the Frostmourne to require 40 Iron ingots, 20 Leather strips, 40 Steel ingots and 10 Silver ingots. The program is amazing! Gonna have to spend the next weekend working on it to balance the weapons and armor...
