Luckily with my shield warrior I can spam shield bash over and over every time they try to get up

This. Go sword and board, close the distance and shield bash Movarth against a wall- A ranged/magic companion won't hurt either.

What I'd like to know is how to kill these guys using a bow-centric "ranger" character, since I don't have the luxury of open ground where I can run around and kite.

The way I see it is there are three options; you have maxed out 100 restoration with all the perks and bane of the undead or you have maxed out 100 block and shield with all the perks or you are an assassin and you sneak attack all of them, don't know what other options there are.

My character has Archery and Sneak, among other things, maxed, and very high destruction. Can't run around and kite in their lairs. So she puts on her full Nightingale Armor set, equips the Nightingale Bow and the heftiest arrows that she has (Daedric for preference), and bullseyes them with a couple of arrows in quick succession. They usually go down paralysed, or so staggered that they can't do a deal with their magic attacks, then it's out with the hotkeyed Nightingale Blade in the right hand and a whopping fire damage spell in the left. The Fire Breath shout can't hurt either. And then they are toast.

That Archery perk (forget the name) that slows time when you draw is useful, that's what enables her to be able to get a couple of arrows in them even if they spot her after the first.

My Bosmer got archery and sneak maxed, killed Movarth without even getting damaged a single health point. With Nocturnal's Shadow Cloak with and muffle spell, while sneaking and wearing Nightingale set, I was approaching the room from the top of the ledge overlooking his table, thats when I noticed that Movarth was there. I backed off a bit to the point where he was just barely visible that I needed Eagle Eye to see him, then shot an arrow to his companions. I shoot and then wait for the eye to close, then shoot again. Rinse and repeat until Movarth is dead.

I tried facing him off. Way difficult but doable. I was using dual weild swords, one was Chillrend, the other a lifestealing fire enchanted blade. So I was having the hell of a time alternating Ice Form and Chillrend's paralyze on him while trying to leach back as much life as I can.

With my shadow warrior perk I go into sneak and with the one second im invisible i perform a one hit kill or I use shadowcloak of nocturnal and perform a one hit kill.

Maybe its because I don't have any perks in one hand weapons on my Bosmer, which is why I can't I hit kill anyone using that. Daggers with x32 damage using DB gloves and the perk is just excellent for sneak kills.

As a mage, I just kept summoning atronachs for him to burn all his magicka destroying and then moved in for the kill after. :P

Nice. Flame atronachs are my favorite companions. That's probably better than just using shock to drain magicka. Funny, I feel like I'm cheating in some way with summoning so avoid it unless I'm feeling lazy. Can't say why.

Sabor tooth tigers are smart though. They are the only enemies who seem to consistently figure out that I need to go down first. They always seem to run right past my atronach and straight for me, ruining my plans.
