[LE] Please Help - Magic Effect Poison Lingering

Hello,

 

So I'm new to the modding thing and really struggling to understand what's going on here. Important note: I am making this mod for PS4 so I can't do the easy/obvious things that scripts might allow.

 

 

My goal is to apply a custom poison health effect to the player, always, under certain conditions.

 

I've got this basically working but there's some really odd behavior that I don't understand.

 

Here's how I've set this up, maybe there's a better way (no scripts, remember):

 

Some of it may seem redundant but that may be because I've gutted it down to just this one piece of functionality right now.

 

 

A tome applies an effect that applies a Perk.

 

Perk applies an ability/spell - My Spell.

 

 

My Spell conditionally applies constant magic effect My Magic Effect - which is a constant poison on the player.

 

 

Now, here's the bit that is weird:

When my conditions block the magic effect, I can see the active effect drop from my list and the poison effect stops draining health. However, I can't wait or fast travel because I am still taking health damage. Am I really? Why?? :sad:
