Object bounds on armor addons

Not sure if it's a weight issue or what but here is what I'm running into

 

had to separate the armor mesh from the hand section for a bodyslide add-on because I was getting crazy stretched verticies like so

 

Created a gloves armor addonby adding new records off the full suit armor addon. Changes the first person tags on both so that the suit had just body while the glove had L&R hands. Added the new armor addon to the armor entry and got the first screen. Then I stripped out all weights but forearm skin 2&3 on both sides

so now I'm back to the first screen.

 

Would adjusting the object bounds change the mesh position?
