Sthlmphysique
Hello! PC noob here just having a question.I´m having lag issue and also a somewhat "flickering light" issue when in hte open world. I have a good graphic card (580 geforce) and about 12 gb ram but only 2,8 ghz CPU.I get some annoying lag, mostly in open world. The same kind almost wether I play medium, high or ultra. I not play on high with skyboost, latest geforce drivers, and so on and the game is very much playable but my question is, how can I improve the lag without having to upgrade the cpu?? Is there one setting that is very cpu heavy that I can just lower?= Is it possible to somehow make the game use more RAM (I´ve read somethign about it while searching the internet) or do you guys have any other ideas?? Sorry for really bad english
anb2004
my best suggestion, of course saving money for new Proccesor.. for advice, setting down nvidia panel for performance and lower down your view distance, settings that really hit your proccesor when you explore open world (skyrim launcher setting)..just give it half bar and give it a try. lower the shadow, radial blur and decal, off the reflect things, use approriate AA that suits you...for texture mod, try to use vanilla resolution avoid the 2048+ texture replacer, installed skyrim in my nephew comp with spec X2 245, 2GB gig, GTX 260, Win XP SP2 and so far it work just fine (no mods tho). you can add tesval or skyboost, and you might need this AntiFreeze as well. Smosh
I don't know if it was a placebo effect but Skyboost seemed to help me out somewhat with my bottleneck issues.
