Need help with a mod

Hi

I wanted to make a mod which adds illustrations and magic text to all Spell Tomes, and doesn't destroy them during learning spell.

I am an illustrator and I know very little about working in Creation Kit, so I was wondering if someone could make a mod like this, and I will do the illustrations and the text.

Hey Arachnos,

These look amazing! Actually, I was wanting to add something akin to flavor text and illustrations inside the spell tomes, and this is perfect.

I'm currently waiting for SKSE64 to be released before I work on any more updates to my mod, since compatibility patches and bugs are getting me down, and I'd like to do a complete overhaul so it just works better.

That said, I'm sure I could take a look at implementing some sort of simple script to teach the spell and not destroy the tome, and work with you to put out a mod as you describe here.

I'd also love to use your designs in Better Spell Learning, seriously, these look awesome.

Regards,

scientic

Edit: Only thing I will say is this; I'm not certain about our ability to change page color in the Creation Kit, but I will look into it nonetheless.

Hi scientic

Thanks for reply!

I tried your mod some time ago and it was one of the inspiration for me to do something like this. There is a mod resource Readable Spell Tomes, which I used, but it didn't allow me to learn spell.

I changed the page style by editing book mesh, so the tomes of each magic school will have distinctive pages.

Ah, well that solves that little problem! I haven't played around much with meshes and textures, but yeah, I'd assumed that's pretty much what would be involved.
