Another Mod Idea

I've been thinking..That and with my addicition to FFXI and Knights and Merchants has led me to this idea..

An Island..Split into three sections(That you really dont see). You buy this island from some person.

Once on the island, all thats there is a dock, a few hills, and some trees. In each "section" you'll find a real estate agent.

You can talk to each real estate agent and decide on how you want to build the island. By Choosing a type for each section, and what house to let on.

You can earn an income and such depending on what types you choose.

Types

Military

Religion

Magic

ect

I'd love to work on this, but I cant lead it. I can do the exterior designs but thats really about it

Thats a brilliant idea. Get in touch with the Apex team (PM Vbgraphix on thses forums) and i'm almost certain he'll accept. Tell him i think its a good idea; besides, they need good modellers and exterior guys.

Well, I really havent thought of the details but here it goes

Each Section can have a diffrent type of Style to it, Military, Econimic, Religion, Ect.

Each Style will be constructed diffrently. You can also allow one of the houses to come to each section, This will put guards and such in each area.

Such if you put the Imperial Legion on the Military part, it would have Imperial Soldiers walking around. ect

If you are to build a whole island with buildings that do not exist prior to visitation, it's going to take quite a bit of enabling scripting. In the beta I would make the buildings already there for the playtest, and then add the scripts after with an enable-on-journal entry. There would have to be a GetDaysPast dialogue condition in the contractor to trigger the journal entry and therefore the construction.
