jet4571
Mine is unpatched because the first patch made the game unplayable, luckily I made a backup of my game folder. You shut off the auto update feature through steam, right click on the game title select properties, update tab, and shut them off and untick the cloud gaming just to be sure if it was ticked. takes like 5 seconds to do. Eventually I will turn it on when they get a few more patches affecting stability and see if they fixed whatever they broke lol....

savage1987
Didn't say I pirated it, but since when is that such a bad thing? Seems a smart move to me ;)

Patch time?Skyrim is steam-only game. If you bought it in the store, it will still have to be bound to your steam account and will have to be played with steam. "Since when it is a bad thing?" Are you f. kidding me? Smart move? Tell ya what, go outside, enter a store and steal stuff. Smart move, no? You don't have to pay for anything, if you just steal that. And lastly, if you did not bother to buy the game, don't bother asking for help with it. Besides, Nexus does not tolerate pirates.
savage1987
righto champ I'll head on over to a different bunch of people who are less up-tight brainwashed indivegetables and see if I get any further. As for you, you can keep throwing your money away on useless pastimes - I'll keep doing what I'm doing and use my cash on something that'll actually get me somewhere in life. Hold to whatever self-important ideals you have about your money really making a difference in people's lives, I hope it gets you far. Admin Edit: Yes please do go elsewhere, in fact we insist you do go. Buddah
Krawll
Didn't say I pirated it, but since when is that such a bad thing? Seems a smart move to me ;) Unlike Dragten , i don't have such a severe opinion over people who download games for free but saying it's not such a bad thing isn't realy true . If everyone downloads a game for free, then the developper makes no profit , if they don't make a profit they probably won't bother making updates and won't bother making anymore games. In which case all gamers are punished . I beleive that downloading a pirated version of a game in order to try it out and see if you like it first is not so bad . Then if you do like the game and you know you're gonna spend a long time enjoying it, it's a good thing to go out and buy it . By doing so , you're supporting the developpers and thanking them for the hard work that they put into the game . Therefore encouraging them to continue updating it , making expansions for it and keep making more games. You're probably gonna say that just a few people playing with pirated versions doesn't realy make a difference but where can you realy draw a line ? People who paid to play are eventualy gonna say , well if that guy doesn't have to pay for it then why should i ?? then the next guy is gonna say the same thing , then the next and so on . It's no secret that there are pirates out there and that there are probably a lot of people playing a lot of different games for free, let's just try not to increase that number too much otherwise we may not see many more games coming out in the futur. And besides, i agree that some games are simply soo bad that they aren't worth buying at all. But as far as i'm concerned, despite the glitches and bugs , Skyrim is still worth every dollar . A very long discussion on why piracy is wrong. Too bad you carved out "personal exceptions". Taking something that isn't yours without permission is stealing. Doesn't matter if you "just wanted to try it", or thought it wasn't worth the asking price. Defending such actions draws the Nexus Banhammer every time. --TNL
