I know how to use dazips and all that jazz but for some reason, recently... when i download one that is suppose to have a dazip file, all i get it Contents and Manifest (i use WinRAR)... i clicked on the little dot thing and it brought up a selection of rar files and i found mine and it has a dazip extention but when i try extracting it, it will give me the manifest.xml file... i looked over the forums but couldn't find a thread that helped...

Wait, what exactly is your problem? first you write that you have trouble finding the dazip file, and then you write:

i found mine and it has a dazip extention but when i try extracting it, it will give me the manifest.xml file...

As soon as you find the dazip file you dont use winrar to extract it, you run it through a software like DAModder or DAupdater.

i said i could not find the dazip file... the one you use for DAupdater or w/e but when i click the little dots at the top and it takes me to a line of files, other zip/rar files that i have downloaded before, and i find the mod i downloaded... the mod title says "mod name dazip"... except, it's not the actual dazip file, it's just the name with a dazip extentsion at the end... and i said in my first post, i know how to use DAZIP files but this is not giving me the actual dazip file... when i download the DAZIP files now... i get a contents folder with a manifest.xml file underneath. the actual dazip thing you use is not there... so... its a file with the ending .dazip, but its not a dazip file... excuse me? can you try and elaborate? or post a screenshot?

Otherwise, a dazip is actually just a common .zip file where its ending has been changed to .dazip to allow DAModder or DAupdater to read them. So you can in worst case just use winrar to make a .zip file out of the contents file and the manifest.xml, and then change its ending to .dazip.

Oh, one more thing: are you using Opera? There was a user before who had the problem that all the downloaded dazips were turned into .7z while using that browser. If so, just change web browser and it should work as intended.

DAO-Modmanager (DAMM) will also handle .dazip files just fine.

Sounds more like your browser and/or OS is doing something. As amycus asked, what flavor of browser are you using? And what mod, specifically, are you talking about?
