Uv mapping help

You can use gimp to UV map by just opening it up with the UV map and going to colors tab and going to "color to Alpha" to remove all the white of the image so that it is transparent except for the polygon out line

then make a second layer and slide it under the first layer in the "layers Tab" so you can see the polygon outline over it

but paint on the photo without messing with the outline

then when you are finished delete the polygon outline and save

than you can use the texture with the model

but no one knows how to export models into .nif format to use with Bethesda's games

My set up for 3D modeling:

wings 3D

gimp
