Dingenskirchen
GODDAMNIT. okay, nope; went back to being broken, and I didn't change ANYTHING. this is now just getting to be infuriating. I can, once again, only have a certain number of mods. it's a very finite number, seemingly always the same, but I'm not sure it it includes only the .esp mods or the texture/mesh mods as well. EDIT: I currently have 17 .esp files, 12 texture/mesh only mods (not managed by Wrye Bash), SkyBoost and ENB. So depending on what categories count and what don't count towards this arbitrary cutoff point, the max number is either 17, 29, or 31. if they're all counting then 31 IS (2^5)-1 so that could be it... why only assign a five bits for the potential load order? that doesn't make sense. You should also manage your Texture mods with Wry Bash. Easier to get rid of them. raymond_dnd explained it correct (thx for refreshing my mind), 255 is the Esp cap. So don't worry about that.In your case it is more likely a dirty Mod or you hit the number of textures your gpu/ram is capable to handle. There's also one thing i like to recommend if you're running a 32bit OS with 4gb ram or more. That's the FIX for CTDs and Missing Textures- 32bit Large Memory Access. If you're running a Gameversion lower than 1.3.10, you will need the 4Gb Launcher.exe to benefit of it, but that's also mentioned in the discription. This fix got rid of all my CTD's. But, that's only the case if non of your Mods is responsible for your crashs.
zeldan64140
pertinent specs: AMD Phenom II X4 965, OC to 4.2 GHzATI Radeon 5770HD, OC to 850 MHz GPU and 1200 MHz VRAM4 GB DDR3-1333 RAMWindows 7 Professional x64Skyrim v1.3.10 soooo no, it's not an issue with a GPU related texture cap or lack of LAA, and, as I have said before, it doesn't matter which mods I use, suggesting it's not a bad mod holding me back. I could probably go download any random 31 mods and it would still crash if I tried installing a 32nd. I've installed various arrays of mods, each time reaching a cap in terms of how many may be installed at once.
