cis190
When I drop my stand alone glass armor re-texture on the ground it shows up with the default texture, how do I fix it? (but while its on me it has the texture that I made for it)
Perraine
Look for somethin like "armonname go.nif' file, this one is (usually) used for the 'ground' and/or inventory view, in most cases it uses the MALE version of the texture (but not always) so if you just did a female retex, you'll probably have to do the male as well to get it to show up Edited January 26, 2012 by Perraine

Perraine
http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc411/lrg1602/Skyrimage/Meh2.jpg Check the paths here and it will show you which texture/s the ***go.nif is using to display the ground/inventory version (sometimes it's not even in the same directory as the other textures ... <sigh>)
cis190
so what is wrong with this?
Perraine
From what I can see, it's got the full drive letter/path in the name for your textures ... you only need to specify the path/s BELOW the data directory, as with the specular map and mask ... Double click the file path to your texture file and delete everything before "\textures". ATM it's probably looking for "f:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\textures\f:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\textures" which is obviously an invalid path ... I feel so dumb right now because I know it is a simple thing that I haven't done!
