AStro88
Sorry if someone has faced this thread previously, but i was using a fatman mod that increase the size of mininuke's explosions (fatman ultra/extreme/mirv edition), precisely i was using the ultra version who increase atomic mushroom size of about 5-10 times.. My problem is that i began to thaught that those mushroom are a little bit smaller for my preferences, but in the GECK i wasn't able to find waht to change to make explosions even bigger, has someone some hints? thanks for the attention!
REZ01
I think its the Explosion objects Radius and Image Space Radius (IS Radius) settings.. But havn't looked at it for awhile..
caramellcube
a quick note about modding weapons that cause explosions, there are 3 main parts, (1) the weapon, (2) the projectile, (3) the explosion. Each can be found in a different list in the GECK, also the weapon should contain the name of the projectile, and the projectile should contain the name of the explosion. Since it's the explosion you need to mod, first find that, then as REZ01 said look for the radius settings (might be range, I don't have GECK open at the moment). AStro88
Uhm, those parameters seem not to be involved in the explosion visual effect D: can't it be the impact data folder?
caramellcube
LinkHere's a screengrab of the default FatMan explosion, the arrows point to the parameters you need to modify in order to change the size of the explosion. Technically, only the top number, Radius, controlls the size of both the visual effect, and the damage radius, the other number, IS Radius, controlls the range at which the image space modifier occurs. If you've changed these parameters and it has no effect, then you're either editing the wrong explosion or something is wrong with your system, in this case it might be worth double checking that the mod you're editing is actually checked on the launcher. As a test, you could try finding the pulse grenade, tracking down it's explosion, shrinking it to 1/10th it's size and checking if that makes a difference when you use it in game.
