Pronam
You need a new graphics card. Your current one is integrated into your motherboard, which is common for pre-built PCs from shops. When you do so, you have to pay attention to your power supply/PSU as well as better cards require more Power/Watt than what PCs from shops can cope with. You can check here to see if your PC can cope with skyrim. It'll probably point at your video/graphics. Some other members will probably give some advice on what graphics card to buy. You can read this topic in the hardware forum as well, it is similar. Edited January 26, 2012 by Pronam

Thanks for that - it did point at my video graphics but the card that I have exceeds the spec stated on the site that failed it...do you know why? I have video RAM of 744 against a required 512, and the shading and the vertex are both 3 apiece. Everything else seems well over spec. Cheers. Rennn
What settings are you running Skyrim at? It's set to 'low' I hope.

Hi,Yep - everything is set to run as low as it can possibly be.I installed it on my son's laptop which has a marginally better spec and it plays absolutley fine. Now he's gone back to Liverpool uni I'm bolloxed.I've even downgraded the basic graphics of the computer and it makes no difference. The only thing that seemed to have made it an extremely frustrating experience instead of a suicidal one was getting a fresh driver for the graphics card.I've tried getting one for the CPU but that seems an impossible task.Cheers
