SAC020
Hi, I am trying to modify an outfit, using EVB. I load the EVB as reference, and the vanilla outfit. The result is that the reference is positioned about 120 units above the outfit. If I start moving either the outfit, or the reference, to align, then I get weird results in-game - either the hands are not aligned, or the body is crushed under the pavement, or it's crushed floating somewhere above (depending whether I moved the reference, or the outfit). Can anybody help me understand the proper way of modding outfits using EVB? Crimsomrider
Unfortunately EVB body was never fully finished and tweaked. Meaning it has neck seams and wrist seams. It also means that it is floating above the outfits in OS because that's how Leito made it. You'll have to move the body down, but moving the body in any way will cause the wrist and neckseams to be bigger. That's why I use my own body made out of a mix between vanilla and EVB body which manages to remove all the wrist seams and keep the body in the same place as vanilla. However, if you want to use the EVB body, what you have to do is : - Open OS- File > Load Outfit- Load the mesh- File > Load Outfit- Load the body- Drag the body down to the outfit There's no need to bother with references. Thank you! I think one difference is that I loaded both the body and the reference in the same step, not sequentially. I will retry the load your way. Is there an option of moving the outfit up, instead of moving the body down, in order to not upset the seams? When you drag with the middle mouse button, does it actually move anything (body and outfit), or does it just reposition the camera? When you say "drag" the body down, which mouse button you mean, actually? I am using the "move" command, I am not sure which is the mouse option. I don't suppose you are willing to share your body (the Fallout 4 one, not the actual one :) Thanks again!
SAC020
So, I did as you said, and used the following displacement figures to move the EVB down, taken from http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10026/? Y+0.882Z-120.843 No idea where those came from, but the hands alignment is perfect! Interesting advice about not bothering with setting the reference or copying weights, it's contrary to every other guide I've read, and, still, it seems to work out just fine :) Everything looks good, modding away. If you can spare the time to answer my other questions, that would be so great, but for now everything seems to work out. Thank you!
