Werne
You can try to verify integrity of game cache through steam, here's how to do it if you don't know. By the way, no need to make a bunch of threads on the same problem, you can just reply in the old thread.
brownie689
I have already done the verify integrity thing on STEAM and the game still gives the same exact error.
Werne
Did you change anything on your comp like updating drivers/programs or updating the game with the 1.4 beta patch?
brownie689
No, I had the game working perfectly last night with all of my mods installed through Nexus Mod Manager. When I got to the area with the Graybeards I noticed the sound was super laggy but the rest of the game was running at full speed. I went to play the game today and Nexus Mod Manager isn't working so I decided to play Vanilla Skyrim or try playing with mods but not using NMM.Skyrim won't boot up and it gives me that same error message when I try with or without mods. IBN5100
Oh, try to rename your Skyrim.ini file and SkyrimPrefs.ini file to something else. Then try to start the game.
Werne
Just took a closer look at your error message and this line looks familliar to me. Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll Try updating drivers for your graphics card, that did it when my brother had problems with games crashing.
brownie689
I have the latest Beta driver 290.53 What would renaming those files do?
IBN5100
I have the latest Beta driver 290.53 What would renaming those files do?Well for one, it would reset your Skyrim settings, and force the game to make new settings to accommodate your computer in it's current state. Perhaps you updated a driver or something? It shouldn't harm your system in any way, and the process is reversible assuming if you didn't permanently delete your old settings file. brownie689
I renamed the Skyrimprefs.ini file to Skyprefs but I can't find the other file you mentioned. I have had this Beta driver for a long time because I play Battlefield 3 and I always get the newest drivers as soon as they come out.
