eltucu
Back in the good old Daggerfall days, vampires, werewolves, and wereboars were all immune to any weapon type below silver. Unfortunately, the days of challenging the player have long since past, and now most of them can be easily killed by a board with a nail in it.Huh, much like oblivion with the ghosts. I miss those, and liches... and common zombies.. and every undead that isnt a draugr/Dragon Priest. Glad they didnt cut out Skeletons though, those add a good ambient to graveyards and such. The bosmer didnt had like Were Sharks or something like that? There were a lot of "were creatures" in TES lore, much like vampires, each province had their set of unique version of "common" creatures (common as in widely used in other fantasy games). Sad that Skyrim's vampires arent as awesome as the lore says they were : / Edited February 4, 2012 by eltucu
marharth
To anyone asking, I heard it mentioned before. Garlic does not hurt most vampires. It is extremely uncommon for vampires to be hurt by garlic, but a few have a special vampire sickness(illness within an illness) that makes them hurt by it. bpestilence
Actually Vicente Valtieri is the only Vampire in TES that was specifically mentioned to have an allergy to garlic. He even says himself that the condition is unique. It was a part of TES: Oblivion as a fun way to kill this particular vamp when cleansing the Dark Brotherhood. Unfortunately Bethesda never "got around to" implementing the garlic kill (or poison apples actually working) so you just had to off people the old-fashioned way until a modder fixed it. eltucu
Huh, poisoned apples did worked for me. It was a PIA to make an NPC eat them though. It really sounds like a normal garlic allergy for a guy who happens to be a vampire lol Reminds me of Vampire Bloodlines, the part when some chinese dude sends a guy with a cross after you :D (need to clarify that both garlic and holy stuff does nothing to Vampire: The Masquerade vampires :P ).
