Augustus6
Hi all! I am in desperate need of help with this problem so I can start playing the game how it was intended to be played so thank you for any help I recieve. First off, I can play Skyrim perfectly fine in a lower resolution windowed mode. I can play it decently fine in Full Screen Mode as well but when I do 2 problems occur: My mouse is really laggy in menus and when I put a mask on (something that coffers my face, be it a helmet or a mask) the I can't sprint without a weird, sporadic lag interferring. I'm currently running:Windows 7 ultimateATI Radeon 5570 HDIntel Quad Core Processor Can anyone shed some light on how to fix/mitigate these problems? I've been trying for a while now to no avail, low res windowed mode seems to be the only thing that fixes all the problems perfectly but I don't understand why full screen, high res mode would work decent with out my character wearing a mask and terribly when he does... or why the game would run pretty smooth but the mouse doesn't feel synched in a menu (especially after hitting q for favorites). I have recently updated my drivers but that did not seem to do anything useful.
Rennn
Disable VSYNC in your video card controls if you can to reduce lagginess. It won't fix it entirely, but it should help a little. It's a Bethesda thing. Their games always seem to have mouse lag, possibly in this case because they use a special VSYNC in Skyrim to coordinate game events (like running speed). It doesn't happen in windowed because you're not really using Skyrim's cursor in windowed mode. Also, you can set a lower resolution and still play in full screen. I'd try that to fix lag If I was in your position.
